He has never even met her so he owes her nothing in terms of responsibility.
Unfortunately, as parents get older, they lose so many brain cells they lack judgement and are easy to scam.
Maybe you should threaten your old man that if he gets scammed, you will seek power of attorney over his financial affairs. Because he would clearly not be capable of looking after them himself.

As I have a few honeypot-emails which were heavily posted and I am sure every nigerian spammer has them I can tell you this: 99% of people pretending to be from Ghana are nigerian scammers.
This is not legit. This is fake. Your father is in the second circle by sending plane ticket money. Bail money should be a higher amount and he will be promised to get it once she's out of jail. That's when he would see it's a scam.

I have a good idea...take her email from your dad and just mail her from any genuine looking random email id. Talk to her as if you don't know anything about her. Try to be as natural as possible and if she sends you the same mail which she sent it to your dad at 1st time, then you confirm that the mail is just a scam.

Its clearly a scam.. I recently heard that there is a scam buzzing around like FBI requesting for bank account details.
But this seems to be a triple scam than that...

You know if somebody is so low as to scam someone like your father what makes you think for a nanosecond they are going to own up to this within this forum? Hell, if they are running the scam this just gives them further incentive to close the deal. And your post does read "Is My Dad being Scammed?" implying you didn't know.

I obviously know he is but he is so oblivious to it.
It makes me angry because he has so many illnesses.
Fibro myalgia, hep c (bad blood transfusion), glaucoma, hemophilia
he has already lost an eye to glaucoma
This is just something he doesnt need but he is so fucking stubborn.
