I want to use medium and want to post my content but a question is do medium posts index quickly??

Yes good for posting and ranking using a link back to your money site. Build some links to medium post and it will rank depending on your kw comp.

Yes. Medium has some good built-in ways of having your content discovered organically. If you're going to post there, though, do it now. It's getting bigger & bigger and it's getting harder to get yourself noticed without being a "brand name" writer.

Here's something I commented some time ago on another thread:

Create a killer title that'd draw readers in on Medium. Then offer them a short version of your content and a link back to your site. Good for generating traffic.

How do you a great short article?

Use open loops on the intro of the content.

Explanation:

Ever had an amazing TV show that you couldn't take your eyes off? A book that you couldn't close off?

If so, congrats. You've been through open loops, aka the Zeigarnik effect.

Open loops seduce our brain's natural temptation for completion. The brain enters a mode of confusion or tension when it finds something incomplete. It could be for simple reasons like a question, a story or even a chore you didn't complete. And the only way of ending the tension or confusion is closing the open loop.

When writing copy, an open is a part of that doesn't tie up instantly. Applying open loops is easy and makes your copy more attractive right away. Here is an open loop instance from CopyHour landing page.

The writer starts off with discussing a mysterious secret used by copywriters to fine-tune their pieces and end up making barrels of cash - making you wonder what this secret is.

However, the writer doesn't stop there. The copy keeps dangling the secret right before your face, strengthening your curiosity and getting you more interested to find out what is actually is, consequently, bumping up the conversion.

It's easy to implement open loops.

The most effortless way to start is by asking more questions and vaguely imply on them. Just as the example above. This lack of completion gets your reader more curious and invested in your writing.

I do something similar to what Hasan said, but instead of having a shorter version of the article, I post the actual length version with the goal of increasing my following on Medium for now.

I figure the larger by following is, the easier it will be to get featured later on, and that's when I'll start driving people to my website.

I recommend having both: your own site & Medium because you can't rly do SEO for Medium & you don't have full control.

Yes and they rank great. Have several Medium pages ranking in Google

Yes, they do index. Get the article going, add some backlinks and it will get indexed depending on the competition.

Medium is good enough for backlink and for traffic too! I used medium once as a parasite and it was ok-ok.

One interesting fact about medium is you can buy your own domain and use their platform in the back, so you're investing into your own domain name in the long run while using their nice publishing platform.

Medium is good, but jump on the bandwagon quickly. It's getting more difficult to gain traction. Good luck!

yes they do no doubt though my posts are not indexed yet. :weep:

Medium is good for building a brand unless it is an escort service.
