Is Making Money online really worth it?

I need help figuring out what I acctually want to do in this beautiful thing called "life" God gave to us. My question for you bhw members is, Do you ever get bored making money online?
I would describe myself as average intelligence, definitley stronger in some areas then others, I love to figure things out and it makes me feel good to know I completed it, especially when i did it by myself and i certainley dont need someone to pat me on the back about it. I kind of like to take the easy way out but only half the time, and i (hate) waking up early especially school so this would definitley be a plus. O and i absolutely looove high-end possesions, not so much the money. BUT of course it takes money to get those things.
Now Iv at least put in 4 or 5 days tottall hours researching this stuff online and on this b-e-a-utiful fourm. I have acumilatted so many hours in a day to where I would go to school the next day and my speech/vocabulary was sooo off. Im a pretty funny guy,, more goofy then funny, and people were asking me why i was being so quite and not funny lately. Im blammed it on the boo's and n a lil weed ha. It got to the point where it was so bad that I decided to wait till the end of my senior year to start up agian. Which will be in 2 months Even know now im stuck with no money, with no car, and no jobs around me hiring. O, and i need at least 300$ for spring break which I have NO idea how im comming up with that, so unless someone on this magnificiant website would like to donate even a little omfgosh that would be AWSOME. ha but w/e

anyway, I really want to make this my career in life and im even planing on attending a university to take some classes. But I forsure dont want to be the house dad, cleaning all the time while my wife goes to work, and I really dont want to watch t.v. all day or w/e.

So is this career worth it??

Work on some shitty offline job especially now when the unemployment rate is too high EVERYWHERE....

Nah online is cool, if you put in the exact amount of work online as you would on a offline job then you'll make good money.

Somehow it seems most people get online to make money then just get lazy or spend all their time chatting to their new friends LOL

Online is good because you can travel non stop if you like... You can live 6 months in every country

Actually, I do get bored at times... I think that is human nature.

When I get bored I grab my golf clubs and get frustrated.

As to an occupation in general, I like it and prefer it to a lot of other
occupations... I've been starting, building and selling businesses most
of my life and this business is one that I like much better than others.

Although I have quite a full social life and generally a good social circle; the social aspect of life was better when I was working in an office. I sometimes miss the stupid things and laughs we had in the office on a daily basis.

Of-course some of it is me to blame, but working from home isn't the shiniest thing on earth.
Experience is subjective. If you are 100% happy then I am happy for you. But employment freedom has its price and I am quite sure I am not the only one feeling this way.

With that being said I can say that I never get bored in my life but instead I get frustrated at times which is, again: subjective.

Bored?! I'll never get bored of the hustle!

Like BTB says, I do get "bored" of individual projects from time to time, so if I do, I just sell them and find something else to keep me interested

Also, if you keep yourself busy enough with more projects than you can handle, you won't worry about being bored, more about when you will sleep

EDIT: also as BTB says, I also get the golf clubs out, but this usually leads to more frustration

Think about the websites you visit. They make money...They make more than the average. The person in here during Craigslist "height" were making easily an average of 100 USD/day...Some made 4 or 5 figures a day. How is that not better than your 9-5???

In my case , I get bored sometimes when a project is done and then you realize that the next project is almost the same !
As if working online is worth or not , it is really up to you to figure this out .
Will you be able to spend 9-10 hours a day of front of you computer ?
Will you be able to explain to your friends that you can not see them tonight because you have a project that needs to be done ?
Do you love adventures ? Because IM is some kind of wild venture
I lost some friends because of IM and made some others , I guess that's just the way of life. Also broke with 2 Gf because of BHW ( true story lol ). But overall IM is good , the money is good and all what you need to find is balance as on every other ''job''

i have never had a real offline job in my life, but i have to say, i miss school because of the factors mentioned above.

the social aspects and the fun we had can not replace the positive aspect of sleeping how long i want and the others.
maybe if the earnings are high enough to live in different countries for months, then maybe ...

you might want to change your focus from making money to adding value. if you add value the money you make will be a consequence, not an end in and of itself.

I agree I have never been bored doing IM. I have to state maybe the reason is us older guys know that you don't have to be stimulated every moment of the day to be occupied and happy. Work on your passions as it will drive you to your goal. I think that last line sounded like a hallmark card but if it works use it lol. Off topic completely, glad to see you back on btb!!!

It all depends on your personality if you one of those extroverts then you will die working from home.

However if you are somewhat introverted you will love working from home.

Figure out for yourself thats what its all about.

Good point.

I am not very interested in being social all the time in a working atmosphere so I like being able to be my own boss and choose my own projects, etc. Plus as mentioned before, the abilities it allows you like, traveling, having more free time, far outweigh going into work everyday...

Seriously there are very few other professions that offer anywhere near the same level of freedom as IM.

The beauty of the digital world is how much easier it is to automate trivial tasks and scale your business model up.

Your not going to succeed, If you have to question it then you won't do great at it. No offence


Internet Marketing isn't a job, It's a lifestyle.


You need to do IM for more then just the money, you need to do it for success, freedom and many other things. Thats when you'll work your hardest.

... when i know what i am doing and i have enough to do, then I am happy... but when I have nothing to do (for example after a big programming-project) then I am "lost" and need to find something new... I am right now in this process.. it is very frustrating because I am sitting all day and watching youtube and reading forums... not very productive.

I hope I find some new project soon so my mind have something to do.
And yes, I agree with that introvert / extrovert theory, I am introverted and have almost no social life I tried to work for someone in a "real job", but I hated it. Sitting hours in some office and trying to make someone happy...
