I can design and handcode the website pretty fast. I'm picking a niche that I really like but I'm not sure if it will be good or not. All I know is that their are not many websites doing it and the ones that are have shitty 300 word blogs and the other ones don't even have ssl. What do blackhatworld?

The best way to know if it would be profitable or not is to give it a shot. Start small, if you start seeing some green lights, then go big.

Try in a niche, used to make me about 3k a week when it was easy to rank.

Now you really need to care about what you are writing about and also be on top of the game. An authority.

You have to include multi-channel approaches too.

User-generated content from the site or Facebook groups (top tips) - can be an advantage point if you know how to include this,

All the best!

Define "Worth It". Every person views on the worthiness are different. Is it 100$ per month? per day? For some 100$ per month is enough, for others 100$ per day is their target. Of course, every niche potential is different. You need to ask yourself first, how much would you like to gain?
And then try to calculate Amazon affiliate commission that you may gain per items, averaging it, and then times per day. If its enough for you? If yes then its certainly worth it.

Hope this help!

Still very worth it. Some companies are earning millions a year. Plenty of niches to choose from. My advice.

If you want to make money you need to focus down on your niche and you need to cover everything about it. Churn out content like there's no tomorrow (needs to be HQ though). Cover questions even if they have small or no search volume. You need to have time, experience and budget. These sites are an investment. Don't think of them as hobby sites or part time side hustle. You need to be committed.

If you believe there is a gap in the market in your niche then go for it. See if it works.

Amazon commissions are low compared to some affiliate platforms. The advantage is you get paid on all products ordered, not just in your niche on Amazon. They are also a recognised brand that's trusted by buyers.

I'd say yes, but what are your other options if you don't pursue this venture?

It's definitely still worth it. Dive in and try it out. You'll learn a lot, even if you fail the first time.

They can be, but it's all relative to the niche you target and the time you put into the site. As @MisterF mentioned, Amazon pays out a lower commission compared to others, but if your website is up to par and ranking well then sure, you can certainly make some money.

Not worth it if you are in Europe because Amazon changed their commissions plans and now you only earn1% if people order indirect items .
It's still worth it in the US since it doesn't work the same

It depends on how are you working on it. There are many new Amazon affiliates sites coming up everyday and some of them are really doing good.
