I read on many forums that link wheel is no more effective for site, google mark as spam.
is this true or not ? or what is its alternative?
thanks

make some twist to the wheel .. maybe u can try pyramid.. :)

Link wheel's in the traditional sense aren't effective. The interlinking of the properties are a dead giveaway. I'd say link-pushes (or tiered link building) is your best bet right now. Tiers can work wonders. Create really high quality mini-sites, web 2.0 properties and articles, then have a second tier of backlinks (in volume) pointing to those high quality ones. Then have a third tier where you blast even more volume of backlinks to the second tier. You can even interlink some of the upper tiers, so long as it looks random and natural.

The "link wheel" now has a flat tire. Better to try another method to inflate your ranks.

Google is looking for something new. So try to give a twist with Social Network.

may be it's true, but there are many alternatives that can be done such as social media and link pyramid...

yep it's works just don't make it very simple ;)

make it that much twisted that human can only detect not sh**t bot ;)

I prefer to use only 1 intentional OBL per page, I suppose you can still link wheel (if you create a web 2.0 property and make 2 blog posts each with 1 link to another proprety) but tiered linking seems much simpler and effective.

This assumption is considered spam it may be long, but until now there are many people who use it but with a different technique, it means that there is still flawless from there.

The way link wheels are marketed and promoted is not a purist way of doing link wheels. Remember, any link is better than no link at all all things being equal and quality being maintained.

If you can find an ebook going by the name Revenge of the Mini Nets, you will realise that they do work especially if you are trying to create a link network that helps your authority site.

Random linking between all your tiered properties is the best and most natural looking link building approach. If you think about, this makes perfect sense. All these properties are supposed to be about your niche... so it makes sense for them to be interlinking. Through in a few links to authority sites (not competing with you) into the mix, and you have yourself a solid natural effective backlink profile.

The basic link wheel is outdated. We have to let google see that our link are all natural looking. Like someone mention earlier, random linking is advisable.

this time, google is not giving priority to link building so we care full but it's true that link wheel was effective.

Tier approach is the best.
for Tier 3- 10000 links
for Tier 2-1000 links
for tier 1-100 links
it really works

Link wheel never fails.. Many people are ranking with just Web 2.0 Properties. Instead of creating 100's of web 2.0 properties for backlinking, just create some best niche related hub.

if link wheel is not effective why dont you try link juice. this is effective for website

Is Rank Builder effective? Does that build link wheels that are no good anymore?
