is link exchange still useful for seo or is it a total waste of time

Link exchange does work even now
You just have to be careful not to exchange links with a website that has a lot of OBL else google will consider it as spam
 
and dont use link exchange scripts or if you use monitor it very carrefuly

Even if it works, don't do that. U have to monitor it etc. Try working on other seo methods.
 
Yeah link exchange still works a lot but it matters that with which site or niche you are exchanging links. Whats the other site position in search engines. Recently I have paid someone to post my link on his website related to my niche like my site is related to keyword review than his site a also refers the same keyword review. I got my pr from 1 to 3 in just 4 weeks.
 
It works, but by george mate, we've got to monitor everything so closely nowadays since nseo is legit and fearful. We gotta keep watching our backs nowadays.
 
Link exchange was, is and will be. Times have changed and you must use it, instead of abuse it. Proper link exchange will do a lot for your site. You can get "seo juice" you can get traffic out of it. Post "google animal release" you have to make sure you exchange with relevant sites etc.
 
Ya i think its not useful now..it affects the sites..
 
In current SEO link exchange is not good if this link exchange is the two way only one way link exchange is good and increase the ranking of keywords like guest blogging.

Link exchange never helped a website for SEO purposes.
 
Link exchanges can be good, its as simple as that, for example if you have a local business website and do a small number of link exchanges with other sites in your area that will actually be of benefit to your visitors then you are providing a service to them a good user experience. Google likes links from local sights even it is in the form of a link exchange, so long as it is a very small number.
If however you use multiple link exchanges with no relevancy and just for SEO then no its worthless and may hurt your site. My opinion.
 
Yes, of course link exchange is still an excellent way to boost the SERPs of your websites. The key word is Quality.
 
Link exchange will never die.. It is vary helpful for increasing the P.R and D.A..
 
Maybe it's works, but I don't use it, because don't like to give someody anything) better I pay
