Is KDP still a way to make passive incomes

Dearest,
I would like to share with you my experience with KDP.
I have had incomes through, but in last 6-8 month the incomes have been decreased dramatically.\
Do you think, there is a still a future on KDP or not?

Any of your experiences.

If you consider a career of a writer, it still makes sense to publish on KDP.

If you just want to make money, however, I'd vouch against it.
Just too difficult to market your books (especially if they are rather average), and the amount of money you typically make doesn't even cover your expenses. At least that's my experience.

@Kikerinka i totally agree.
But, my concern is that the amazon algorithm is changing many time and there are many good books that have been sell for long time now are stuck.

Currently i sell 5-6 books during a month which is very low.
