That’s not exactly true. Web2.0s are a mixed bag - you can get good and bad backlinks. Here’s my 2 cents - they’re not the “cream of the crop” links since they’re UGC, but they’re good to have for some degree of diversity and allow you to do some authority stacking. But they’re not “good” per se when you just have mostly web2.0 backlinks. Diversify with high authority profiles, niche relevant forums / q&a, directories, citations and etc... basically places where real businesses and brands have links.
