Hey guys so I am relatively new to IM and Instagram and just trying to build up my accounts for now.
I use a bot but it is one that I have created myself and I was wondering what the benefits are when it comes to liking photos in my niche. I know that some will look at the page after a like but does it make much of a difference if I am following/unfollowing?

If you ask for my frank opinion, I will tell you it's actually working better than F:Unfollow

I mean, do you want to give someone only one opportunity to see your accounts or multiple? Seems like a pretty simple answer to me. The real question is how do you do it strategically. I'll tell you how.
While following 2K people within your niche, have your bot like their content as well. Then when you hit 2K, unfollow them all, but continue to like their content just to give them extra "chances" to follow you back.
Rinse and repeat homie.

People will think that your spamming them with likes so by liking one photo. They will come and like all your photos, that's what happen to me after liking on picture.

It just so happens that I've been like banned since about lunchtime on Tuesday. Going on two days now. (I got unblocked yesterday afternoon, but like a dumbass I liked a few photos by hand & got blocked again on my 5th). I was liking 1000 - 1200 photos / day with my bot & by hand.

I've posted 5 or 6 pictures in that period of time & I'm getting maybe 50 - 60 fewer likes on photos than I was prior to getting the ban. I haven't noticed any appreciable drop in my new followers, either.

I was really a big fan of liking photos. I thought it was key to getting people over to your page. Maybe it isn't.

Your limits are way too high for daily automation and the fact that you were liking manually at the same time was a huge red flag to IG. It's either automation or manual, never at the same time. It basically makes IG think your account is logged into two different devices at the same time and preforming the same action and what other kinds of accounts would do that? Spam accounts.
So my recommendation would be to deactivate your account for a week since you've already been banned multiple times, in hopes of a profile refresh. Then only automate anywhere from 700-900 and stop manual labor all together.

liking helps, the most important thing is not to like anybody that has a better page than you. I can't stress that enough, because the pages you like others will see and if they have better content than you, more followers, more engagement you just lost a follower. So be careful who you follow and like, it should be a strategy not just random acts.

Thanks for the feedback.

Yeah, you just never know. That's why I'm experimenting & seeing what does / doesn't work.

In 4 years on IG, this is the first time I've gotten a ban. I had been running the bot at that level for nearly 3 weeks - and still liking / commenting by hand. No problems.

I was playing around with the automation settings on Tuesday & I think I made them too fast - which is why I got banned. Not too many likes, just doing them too quickly.

FWIW, the bot is still running posting comments & follows. Again, at those levels for 3 weeks. No problems.

I just wasn't paying attention when I got unbanned yesterday afternoon - out of habit started liking stuff on my feed.

Honestly, I haven't had any noticeable results from liking pictures. It could increase engagement though if you like your followers' pictures. Plus every time you like a picture with a bot, you're exposing yourself to a potential ban.

The good thing about liking pictures with bot is that you can like more of them per hour than follow, also there is no max limit of likes you can do, so you won't need to unlike the pictures.

Thanks for the tips, i only take the liking photos to increase chances of the users following you right back

If you need to get followers liking is not a best method, it usually you followers not more than 10 %, and even less with liking.
By following the number will be 3x better

I can't decide on what is the best way to use the likes. It is better to follow people and like other people's pictures, or to follow people and like their pictures as soon as you follow them?

liking while your account is on private gives sweet follow rates btw

Usually, I have had more success with following by commenting compared to using likes. The likes tend to work better for me when using them on smaller accounts who have fewer followers. I guess it is because the likes are more visible to that user with fewer followers.

I know it does. I don't do Instagram, but I can see from my friends. When someone new likes their photo, they will go check out their profile.

It depends on the size of the account you're trying to get the attention from. If you're liking photos that already have a few hundred likes, chances are they wont even notice your likes. However, following, liking 5 photos, waiting a while and then unfollowing seems to be what works well for a lot of people.

Make your own hashtag and like every post on it, also like your followers pictures to increase engagement
