Is it worth it? Domain price $250?

There is a domain, a really good name, clean has 1 backlink from marketwatch.com, an article do follow link from 2013 and is indexed in Google.

Would people buy it for that price? Lower or higher?

As far as the backlinks not worth it

That’s way too high a price for this domain with just a couple of BLs. There are a lot of other factors that you should consider. Like:

1) no of characters it has
2) is it a dot com domain
3) try a few variations of that domain with some meaning Gul prefix/suffix. If you see that those are also gone, delve deeper to understand how competitive the KW pertaining to the domain is. If there’s a lot of traffic and is a dot com domain and you feel it’s worth it, go for it. Sometimes fresh domains which are KW rich and dot com based may be quite precious and when you add an online presence to it, the value would sky rocket exponentially.
And last but not the least, take a blank page, type out the domain and visualize its look, feel and impression. If something that strikes your mind and you feel good inside about it: take the plunge!
Domain names to websites are like what piece of land is to real estate business. Location is of paramount importance. Domain is like that land. If you perceive great value in owning it, it could prove to be priceless later.

$250 is too much for 1 link.

I'd have to agree with the others. Backlinks-wise it's not worth the price, but if it's a good name (short, brandable, impactful) it might be worth more than $1000, or $10,000

Btw, for example, you have a good domain, but it is new, so domain only, no site. Hypothetically speaking, I don't want a site but can I still build good quality links (like business.com, Forbes, etc) to the domain only to increase the link profile and make it worth more? Again is it not a question whether I make a site or not, just if its possible to build links to a domain only.

Also, would they be indexed? If I have parked domains, would it be useful to build links as well? Perhaps to be found on keywords, so I can sell it for more?
