Is it worth hiring a UGC content creator ?

Me and my business partner have multiple ecommerce stores and have been looking at "UGC content creators" on fiverr to produce content.

Basically what we are wanting is someone to review our products and make it look natural.

We were looking on fiverr and found a ugc content creator who claims to have over 3 million subscribers on Youtube and 2.3 million followers on tiktok but she wants $55 for a 15 second video.

Can anybody confirm that this is the "standard rate" as we feel this is a bit expensive but we did also see people on fiverr trying to charge $160 for 15 seconds.

Does anybody know of any other market places to get this cheaper or can guarantee that this is the "standard rate" ? as to us even $55 for a 15 second video feels to be a lot but at the same time is nearly a $100 cheaper than other people we were looking at. I just don't get how they can charge so much money ? Am I missing something here ?

$55 is pretty cheap IMO compared to the standard rate, but if their fans are part of your target audience it can really boost your sales.
The reason that it costs this way is that even though some of them charge $200 for a short video, it's still cheaper than producing a video ads, and in some cases it works better.

As a fiverr regular, this looks awfully sus.

I highly doubt she has the reach or audience she reports to have. If you go over to socialblade, you will see a series of accounts created Mar 25th, 2020, that may or not be a much younger version of herself. IMO, she bought a dead channel, filled it with bots and is now selling herself as 'an influencer'.

It might be working. Her videos regularly get 1k to 5k views and a few of her breakout hits (recent ones too) shot up into the 30m+ bracket. Her subscriber count is a mess (Lost 50% in the last 30 days) so although she does not have the audience she claims, her reach might actually be decent. Just keep in mind that (in all likelyhood) you will probably get 1k to 5k views from anything you contract her for... but there is a chance it could also be considerably more.

Worth the money? Most probably.

I'm not sure posting to their channel is included, but her channel does look as if the only money she's making if from Fiverr gigs.
The 3 months usage right is also a bit annoying, you should offer a few more dollars to make it longer.

This is what we were thinking, as we have checked out her portfolio regarding the UGC stuff and she does create good videos but we haven't really tried this sort of stuff before and were surprised to see some people even charging $160 for 15 second videos!

I still think $55 is a bit pricey for a 15 second but if it works, then I am happy to pay it.

Thank you for confirming. One of the main draws to her was that her videos are good and her socials also seem to be doing good. Just hope she delivers for us!

How accurate is social blade in terms of data? As I don't really use it tbh. However, we weren't really looking to post on her socials. It was more, sending out product to her and she reviews it and we use the video on our website and socials.

I am tempted to ask if she can post it but not sure what prices to pay for stuff like this ?

Can you recommend a pitch and price ?

This was another thing. So the usage rights ? How would she know though if we used it longer than 3 months ? What could she do if she found out ? She has one of the golden YouTube plaques. Not sure what that means in terms of financials.

However, she is British and I do believe she could create a high end video, reviewing our products what we sell on Tiktok

She basically says that she reserve the right to the video, but gives you permission to use it for 3 months. If you use it after that, you can technically get sued, but I doubt you will.

When you want to reply to multiple comments, please use the multi quote function instead on posting comments back to back.
This makes the thread easier to read and helps you prevent getting unnecessary warnings and infractions for post count inflation which you didn't intent to do.

Socialblade used to be extremely accurate (they could even give live updates) but in the last ten years or so they have really gone downhill. Some of their functionality still works but other parts can get pretty janky. Anything involving a graph or a timeline is typically suspect because the data it reports is limited to what they can scrape from the platforms themselves (which isn't much anymore). Current stats are typically reliable but you should never pay much attention to a trend unless it is a high profile channel/person.

If you are simply using her as a face and have no intention of marketing to her audience then I suspect she'll do fine for your purposes. Just keep your instructions simple and don't insist she do or say anything complicated. $55 is not a bad price and if she takes it serious and turns on the charm, she can make it worth the money.

Be polite, click the little 'Ask a question' button to open up a chat with her. Ask her if she is busy (she'll say yes because they always do), tell her what you need and tell her that you are only willing to spend $55. Then casually mention that if she is busy this week, you can always come back some other time.

She won't want to pass up free money for less than a minute's worth of work. She'll do it.

Awesome! Thank you so much for confirming. Do you know a ball park figure for 12 months use ? As we are thinking of just offering her $50 ?

I doubt she could sue us but at the same time, I don't want any negative reviews or dramas on the back end of this.

We are communicating with her at the moment and looking set to go ahead. Just ironing out some details and what we are looking from her creatively.

We haven't asked about posting on her YouTube because we are wanting more data. Can you advise on any other tool that is more accurate for getting the YouTube data ? We don't mind paying if you know any premium tools.

Thanks for confirming. We are going to go ahead with it, as she's a lot cheaper than most on there and does have a portfolio and social media presence.

I'd just say:
Hi! I want to hire you for a making us a few videos, but the 3 months usage rights is a bit of a problem for the company I represent. Would you be able to hand over the rights for an additional $20?

I'd love to make this a regular collaboration, but usage rights is not something I can dismiss.

Thank you so much for that script. I sent it to her and she accepted! Saved us some money too! We've made an order now.

One more question, do you know how to analyse her YouTube channel properly? As I know about social blade now but think the data isn't 100% accurate. If it's a paid tool, we don't mind, as we are going to try and partner with other YouTubers too post videos showcasing our products.

Just look at her channel. See how often she posts, how many views, likes.. etc.. Socialblade is nice if you want to track subcount over time, but I really don't think there's much more you need to know outside of looking at her account.

We have been looking at her channel but we were wanting more data and analyse the age of the people watching and which countries were watching. As our main target audience would be the UK & USA.

We however, are struggling to find a tool that can give us the data ?

If you know any that could help, it would be really appreciated.

If not, thank you for all your help.
 
fiverr standard rates is $5 for anything life videos. for everything we have ai youtube tool for shorts.
