Hi everyone, I want to buy expired domain, but what will be with backlinks? Will I lost it? What is the procedure if I want to keep backlinks? Thank you guys!!!!

Backlinks will remain untill the website keep the link.. no need to do anything

You need to restore the whole site from the web archive, then the backlinks will be restored

Thank you everyone, because I read this post so I am confused :/ ...

Google's View

You need to try and think like Google. So ask yourself:
  1. How does Google view a domain that has previously expired?
  2. Does it credit it's previous backlinks and authority to the domain just because you register it again?
The answer to this is fairly simple.
Google will treat a new registration as a new domain; it will have zero authority and zero backlinks. (https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/guide-how-to-use-expired-domains-effectively.1223248/)

depend, when you buy the site check the backlink list, you will keep all the backlink to the homesite. but for the backlink on content or article, you need rebuild the content.

You need to try and think like Google.

First you should try to think (at all) in the first place before you try to look smart and all revolutionary.

New registrations are not treated like new domains. That would pretty much break the internet.

If they were, PBNs would never work and they have been one of the main SEO tactics for over a decade.

Did you know, that even most auction domains have to drop first (expire), even if for a half a second, in order to be caught and the sold on auctions? Oh well, half a second of expiry, the domain is worthless now... not.

Whatever points to a domain, however long has it been offline, adds to its power. You might have to recreate URLs, you might have to do redirects, it might take a while for it to kick in, but it's there.

This same crap about how the domains lose power after expiry has been shared all over the forum for years. Pointlessly.

It just confuses newbies, to whom I have to explain everything from the ground up, because they "read somewhere" and "someone said", that "this" and "that" and "conspiracy" and "google omnipotent" bla bla.

Yes, it pisses me off if you haven't noticed.

I tend to agree with you, but I think you also have to try to understand what seems to make the most sense (like Google employees I imagine).

A domain that at one point had a good reputation, good content and traffic will leave a kind of trace, it is not very different from a brand image.

That it has not been registered for a while does not change much, a fan might have wanted to take it back in hand for example.

I will even go further and this only concerns me, a domain like the one I mentioned, even if it only has one backlink (but powerful) should rank better than many others more interesting at the first try of eye.

We would have to look more at semantic power measures to find this kind of domain.

I do not know if there is some sort of archive containing the old Google ranking of sites for a request.
