By adding content you can increase the DA of the website, but it takes a long time.

I dont think so. I had a new blog i posted 40 articles and it didnt go up DA one bit for 6 months staying on DA0. It kept getting all these weird bot, no follow links. Then i scored a 70DA backlink and it went up to DA1. You def need backlinks.

DA is not a important factor for your rankings, you cant increase DA without back-links
