Is it possible to beat images in google serp?

Hi guys, is it possible to beat images from their place on google serp? ( Images for "search query" ) are on the first place. I'm right under them. I wonder if it is possible to beat them or if I cannot move anywhere higher.

This is an example how it looks like (not my niche)

Yes it is indeed possible. If google thinks you are more relevant for the search term than the pictures.

Thanks, I know about optimization of images of course. Does PA/DA play any role here, let's say if my PA/DA were higher, would it have any effect on the serp - would it help beating that images panel showed by google?

Higher DA means higher authority level, so yes, a high authority level would help you rank/outrank images easier.

PA / DA are made by a private company not linked with Google. There is no direct link between PA and ranking. But high PA has good links and good links make good ranking.

About you question, yes you can go above images for sure. But you need more backlinks and maybe social signals, general authority on your site.

Exactly Google does not go with PA/DA. Also for image outranking social sharing still works great. There was a old post on BlueHatSEO blog on Image SEO which was fantastic and still works. I will try to look up the archive and post a link if it's still available.

Yes you could, just compare your metrics and do better.
