Hi,

I have 25 local keywords and I want to write content around them. Is it okay to write 300-word articles about all keywords, add them to site and then wait and see what Google will do? I will edit them later to make them longer and better.

Or should I add full articles right away?

I hope you understand my concept.

I want to see how they rank with minimal effort :D

Those are low-mid keywords.

I want to see how content performs and make it better along the way. And I want to know if its ok.
 
Why not write a decent length quality article targeting one of the keywords first, then see how that performs. Then replicate to the others if it works as expected?
 
Lengthy article is very strong for the site. So Write atleast minimum 1500+ words article. Try this minimal effort :p:D
 
Long good quality content is what google loves. So try writing articles of 500 or 700+ words. make sure they are unique and well written. It will give you good results.
 
lengthy and informative ones with relevant keywords used together. Maybe just start with a couple instead of going for all 25 in one go. :)
 
You better write less articles but more words on each one. Long articles usually rank better than shorter ones.
 
300 words isn’t enough to rank man, it will make it difficult. Go for 1000+
 
500 Words article worked back in 2011 but now 500 words is not ok. So you can imagine about 300 now a days.
 
@catwithhat are you using Yoast on your website by any chance? If so don't fall into the trap of thinking that because you reach 301 words and they show it as a green result, that is what Google is really wanting. The 300 count is there as a guide according to Yoast.
 
I'm in support not to publish the entire length of the articles at once. Because you've to keep them updated time to time to please Big-G.

But don't stick to a constant 300w length for each content. You should rather study your top competitors to decide what wordcount would good to go for now.
 
Instead of writing short articles, write long articles of around 1500 words after every two or three days. Always make sure that you post your articles at regular intervals. You can start by adding 10 articles (long), at once to your website and see the response.
 
Can you combine them like how to get rid of ants and how can you get rid of ants in a day.

How big articles your competitors have. Match and exceed that
 
I'm not keen on this method. You dont want Google to think you've got a site full of thin content. And you won't get a good idea of your ability to rank for each keyword by only writing 300 words. Just write each article properly in full.
 
Check you competitors and try to create more content than them. I had good success with 300 word articles, it all depends on the competition, the quality of your content and your domain rank.
