I've realised BHW engagement has dropped quite a lot recently. Any idea why?

Normally when I refresh the home page, the thread engagement posts are usually a minute fresh, going down the page around the same frequency. Now it's like the top post on the home page was commented on 6 mins ago, with the bottom of the page being over half a day ago

That's heavily exaggerated, I've never seen the home page's last thread last commented on 'twelve hours ago'.

It all has to do with the timezones of our members and when they're available to be online. That said, if you look at year-to-year growth, the forum has, and continues to, grow consistently.

At this very moment, there are nearly eight-hundred members online:

At this exact time the total visitors used to be around 3k or more so it has dropped a bit ngl

If you take another look at the image I shared, you'll see the total number of online visitors is nearly 2,700:

This site certainly seems less active than when i frequented it, which was around 5 years ago. It will go up and down with time, who knows.

I've not seen the hompage any slower than about 45 minutes, and most of the time much less.
 
It's still as active as when I first joined.
 
Nah, just less trolls around and spammers, spamming the shit out of BHW.
You think "weekend threads" are something? Pff...
It use to be 24/7/365 "weekend"!

It was as usual good old time, but, there was just too many trolls.
 
According to SEMRush there was a massive drop in April at some point in organic search for BHW

Worldwide traffic est in April was 235,207 and in May 116,224 and it's continued to gradually decline since then.

How much of the engagement is new members though is another question
 
Not just you.

BHW value in general has been declining lately.
Lack of valuable posts, lots of nonesense discussions, lots of newbies asking for a method, and A LOT of selling threads ;)

Hence I don't contribute much.
 
I think its due to less spammers these days. Earlier there used to be some weird spam threads daily gathering attention all day
