for a few days now I've been trying to scrape expired web 2.0's for wordpress.com websites, I've done it so far with tumblr and weebly and found some success, however when it comes to wordpress.com I either find majority (90%) of them being still alive even though a lot of them have the most recent post from 6-7 years ago, as well as I come across a black screen that tells me the blog has expired and they're contacting the owner 'before it's too late!!'

To scrape web 2.0s i'm using scrapebox, I managed to scrape about 150K websites then I used the alivechecker to narrow it down. I've so far checked hundreds of domains in my browser and all of them come back as alive even though scrapebox says they're dead.. on top of that the ones that ARE expired are not re-registerable? Every time I try to register a domain it always gives me something like the following example below

say the domain is coffeekings.wordpress.com it'll ask me if i want coffeekingsblog.wordpress.com

is it still even possible to scrape these domains? do they even reissue expired domains? do they even expire?! im so confused

I think once a sub gets deleted on wordpress you can't register it anymore, so there is no expired wordpress web 2.0s

You can't recycle wordpress.com blogs. They're gone. I think Tumblr sites can be recovered?

Wordpress is not possible, better create new ones and let them age while building regular backlinks.

    Arggggggg, geeezfxxk

I this morning saw this post and just wondered the title, Wordpress.com cant re-registered? Ummmm, but I actually saw people reuse it last year lol, (for a reason, I didnt re-register by myself last year), so I was going crazy and search here and there but hardly cant find any answers ummm

Thats because I quitted the Internet more than 1 year, so I got the answer: Wordpress.com expired sub domains policy changed, you can no longer re-use it right?!

what a fxxking day to me! I feel I missed sth....
