A link is "do follow" by default unless it has the code rel="nofollow" in it. For example <a href="blackhatworld.com" rel="nofollow">Blackhat World is the best and this is a no follow link</a>
 
sometime nofollow tag comes right in the start and all links on that page become ********. the best way to keep a check is install firefox add on and it will automatically mark the link with ref if its nofollow
 
techroot isn't getting any juice from that if that's what you're asking.
