Is it A Good Idea To Start Affiliate Websites In French or German Languages?

I am new to this, sorry if these questions sound stupid.

There is a lot of competition around English content, and I thought since I am good at german and nearly fluent in french. why not creating affiliate websites in those languages.
I am thinking of using amazon.

Is this a good or a bad idea? will this work or it will be just a waste of time?

Are content in those languages in "general" easier to rank than English content?

About to content creation, is it a bad idea to use google translate to speed the process and after that correct all errors, make it better and optimize it for keywords or should I create content from scratch?

Any suggested affiliate networks?

English websites are far more competitive for sure, but people are people... and people like to spend their money.

You can build affiliate websites in most western/northern European countries and have success. If you are creating content that solves their problem and you drive traffic to it, you will make money just the same.

Maybe Americans are a little bit more trigger happy with their credit card purchases, making it a little bit easier to sell to them, but don't read too much into that. Germans and French love to spend their money too.

For the content, make sure it's unique and well-written. If you want to translate English articles automatically then edit them to make them readable, that could work too. Give it a go and experiment with it.. That's the only way to find out.

the best offer are english and the best networks are in english languages
so i think is better to create sites aiming US people even there is more competition
 
French and German will have less competition but also less interest. You will be able to rank your sites easier but after your sites are ranked you may not get as much traffic as if you ranked an English site. I think you can succeed with any of the 3 languages, French, German or English.

Makes sense. Thanks man, you are right experimenting is the most important part, maybe I'm gonna start a journey to keep myself motivated and get some advices along the way :)
 
It depends on so many factors. If you're from France, or Germany I'd suggest creating an affiliate site from the country you come from.

Indeed, Foreign SEO is much easier, people have been saying this for a long time, but you should know that it's not as easy as everybody says. Lots of experienced SEOs now control many niches that sometimes it's as hard as the US market SEO especially in niches like payday loans, CBD, and gambling.
 
French would probably have more interest because most French know very little English... unlike Germany, where it seems everyone speaks decent English. In fact, I had a German client that started an English affiliate website because "most Germans speak English."
 
Actually, for our affiliate products, FR is one of our biggest GEOs. There is definitely money there. You just have to find the right niche. Don't just think of France itself, think Wallonia (French speaking side of Belgium), Guadeloupe, Reunion, Martinique, Monaco & Switzerland. There a lot of French speaking countries that you can target!

Oh, and for the CC-submit. FR people are trigger happy on that part as well, I can assure you that. What kind of traffic would you like to generate? What market do you have in mind?

If you are very experienced guy, yes it is good idea. If not and most probably, better in English.

I don't have any experience in the Home Decor market unfortunately. So I'm not sure how that market works. Our affiliate products are more focussed on online entertainment.
The only suggestion that I can give you is to make a list of French keywords that you think your target audience will use.

After that, benchmark those keywords on Google.com and Google.fr (If you have a VPN, use a FR VPN). See what type of affiliate websites pop up, analyze those websites, see what works for them and make improvements that apply
to your needs.
 
I speak German and russian fluent and still would go for an english affiliate site.
The market here is aready super crowded, only a few persons with multisite pages are already flooding the market.
