Hi all,
I'm thinking of buying the iPhone X, yes the original 1 which started the notch trend. Does it make sense to buy it now and if so what price range would be considered a good deal?

Not saying it's not worth it, however I personally would not spend more than $500 on a smartphone.

I just picked up an iPhone SE & loving it. Downloaded the IOS TV app to trick the phone into being updated to the latest OS. Just wish that damn 1 would go away lol.

Phone is fast, no complaints. Still the fastest phone for Pokemon Go compared to any Android under $500 CAD.

I only paid $147 after taxes and shipping on eBay. Was marked as used but I consider it open box. Mint condition, original charger & battery life still at 99%.

I love Android & always will. This is my first IOS device other than an iPod touch 4G ages ago.

I'm using this phone to help complete my 90-day gaming detox as most of my gaming accounts are tied with Google luckily. Will I stay with IOS? IDK. But considering Bluetooth still drains way too much battery for my liking, this will be my last ios device as it's the same specs as the 6s, no point in eventually upgrading to the 6s plus.

I'll be making good money when that point comes around anyways, allowing me to buy a stellar mid-range phone as fuck flagship phones. Overpriced to shit.

Get a sweet android for half the price, you will not regret

$500 is still much for me. Last time I spent $500 on a phone it was the iPhone 7 Plus which I sold for half the price I bought it for less than a month after. Never again will I iPhone.

I'm waiting for a real 5G phone which I will splash my cash on....

It's worth it if you're tired of the usual android issues like lag and other BS. If you plan on buying it and keeping it for the next 5 or 6+ years, yes it's worth it. I switched from an old HTC M8 (bought in 2013) to an iPhone XS (2018) and I don't think I'll ever go back to Android. The last few years for the HTC were a complete disaster, even a factory reset couldn't fix all the issues this phone had.

I've got an iPhone 7+ and still enjoy it. I wouldn't upgrade it yet because it still works fine. I'm not really into phone upgrades unless it's absolutely needed but even then, I wouldn't spend more than £400 on one now.

Keep barking.

Their shitty private OS forces you to buy a new phone. Plus HTC is not that big of a company

Got both iPhone 6s & iPhone 7 Plus and I won't upgrade for sure for the next 2 years.. Don't neet better than this, much better than Android. Smooth, never lags... just amazing OS.

I bet the people here moaning about how good the iphone is, have never used a decent android.

If you loved yourself, you wouldn't even consider buying an iphone.
Not recommended.

Have an iPhone X. Upgraded from a 5S. Clearly, one of the best purchases. Pricey? Hell yes, outrageously. But the quality and ease of use are worth it in my opinion.

I was an iPhone user before, but then I decided to try something different and bought a Note 4 (best phone ever*), replaced it with a Pixel, and I'm using Pixel 3 now. Can't even imagine what needs to happen to make me switch back to iPhone.

* There was an SD card slot so I could use my phone to create timelapse videos shot on my GoPro.

I could replace the battery by simply removing the back lid.

Once I dropped it into jacuzzi and it stayed there on the bottom for like 10 mins. I was pretty sure that my phone was dead, but i was able to switch it on the next day and kept using it for another several months.

What about all the hate on here on iPhone or Apple? Its a fucking phone for gods sake. Don't like it? Don't buy it. Everyone got their own preferences. They are all overpriced anyway. Apple took it to the next level with the price, but Samsung isn't any better.

The only difference is the OS. Some people like iOS and others like Android. I prefer iOS, also I can easily connect to my Macbook and my Apple Watch. Personally I wouldn't support Android, since they made this bitch move with Huawei. These fuckers don't deserve anything.

Not really. its just the hype. they never make any amazing upgrades more just hardware base like faster cpu/gpu bogus stuff and make their other phones obsolete
