Hi all, Recently I am undergoing SEO drives for some sites. All sites are optimized properly with common SEO issues. For the last 4 months I am evaluating those site's position at google search with different keywords. I noticed that after creating some backlink the sites goes up at google search with their targeted keyword search. Most surprisingly I notice that If I get hit on google search (with target keywords), the position increase dramatically!! Please let me explain a bit more. Say, my target keyword is "blackhat" and my target website is hxxp//test.com. Its present position is 55. Now I ask some of my friends to go for a google search with the keyword "blackhat", go through the search results, find my site and click. Then the next day i notice the site position increased dramatically. Am I correct what I am seeing?

Is there any way to do this smoothly?

I am very new member here. I found the site amazing? First I was afraid, if I stay on this site, people may attack me, hack my PC. But people are quite nice here and very helpful. :tee:

That is BS.

I would start a site selling viagra, hire a bunch of indians and pay then peanuts to click on the google results all day and get my site to the top if this worked

OK but need to know the assumption is correct. Warning: I must say google may ban if got suspicious hit on their search query. Clean IP is factor here.

It is a factor in your ranking, but seems to be logarithmic.

Meaning the first few clicks can move your site up in the serps a good amount, but the higher it moves due to these clicks, the more clicks it will take to move it any higher.

The higher/up you upgrade your position, the higher click rate you will get naturally.

Bringing 1k traffic to a site is not that tough. But the thing is how to make people to search google with specific keyword then make them hit on a specific search result (URL)?

Anybody has any idea/experience on the assumption made here?

This whole thread is retarded.
Go read about SEO before asking this type of questions

just curious are you logged in to your google account when you do this, if so log out, clear your cookies then see what happens... ive seen different serp result sets when logged in from that when being logged out...

Shut the fuck up nufaman, if you were to stop and think about it.
It makes perfect sense. Seo world doesn't exist out of linkspam alone.
And why the bash the n00b you asshole, he just asked a question.
You give this forum a bad name MotherFucker.

Excuse my French but what an ass.

Anyways,
I made a thread about this some time ago.

It is one of the ranking factors, only it's really hard to exploit.
Google tracks with a combination of cookies and javascript.
You need to build a setup that has a cookie jar, rotating proxies, and is able to be detected by javascript.

There is an easier way, i made a script that logged into google account.
Not gmail, but the personalized one where you can sign up with any email account.
Then search for my site, press the green prefer on top arrow, and logged out.
And then repeated that couple times.

Both work, but you need to put in a lot of effort.
It works in combo with other seo techniques to give you an extra push over your competitors.
But it looses effect the higher the search volume is, and the higher you climb up the ranks.
Plus there is an certain risk involved.
