Yes it works, but need reachout on website/webpage owner to submit the ready content for guest post or can checkout website with available box to send guest post on website editor for publish.

Guest posting still working and will be. So, no worries and go forward with guest posting.
No guest post still alive and still works properly. If the site (Guest Post Link) is high quality like High DA & PA, low spam score & have real traffic, then your site may get more authority in search engines. Niche-related guest posts work better, as they did before and still do now.

As others keep saying, guest posting works, and will always work if the site is real, has real traffic, and is relevant to your niche. If it's on a prestige site, it should add trust and reputation to the writer or the webpage it points to. One can also use them to piggy back on the situation where somebody wants a gig or freelance writer to do a post related to your niche. If you are ranking your site on topic X, while advertising you write and publish gigs on topic X on real sites, you can work out a deal where you get paid to write posts with links to both their page, and yours.

I still use guest posts, but very selectively. Whereas before I used to buy posts by looking at DA here and there, now I look at whether there is real traffic, whether the content is relevant, whether it ranks in Google or not, and how natural the link looks.
It is more useful to get 2-3 good links from good sites than to get 10 generic links at a low price. Guest posts still work, if they are chosen correctly.
