Is GSA still a big thing?

Feels like less and less people are using it as google updates the algorithms.

Want to purchase it with a couple add-on such as capcha breakers etc. Still worth the money?

P.S. for Tier 2-3, not money site

Used correctly it can provide some decent quality links for tiers but you can't just slap a campaign together and let it run.

There are settings in there that you can use (been that way for years as well) which make the product pretty solid.

For tier 2-3 and parasites it's supposed to be useful, as you said not for money sites.

GSA SER is still good to boost tier2-3. Just set it up correctly, use filters.

@avichal, what filters do you have in mind?

As others have said. It can be very useful if you know what you are doing with it.

It is so good if you are planning to use it for parasites and tier 3...
But don't rely on it 100% to rank. It is just a way to boost you tiers. So don't rely just on it and expect that is enough to rank.

Still good for tiered link building and parasites. Pretty steep learning curve though, Youtube guides give you an idea of how to use it but not so much how to rank or proper filters.

If it can bring good traffic and backlinks (for ranking) for blogger (where there are limited access to prebuilt plugins for onpage) then why it can't work well for a good site. Bots are still working and obviously, there are latest updates available as per the Google updates. It works quite well. I own the whole package and I have used it but it took me approx 3 months to completely understand it's functioning.

You can play around the Filters and it makes the difference.
I recommond OBL and spam-word filters. There are many other filters too.

Is there any tutorial that you recommend to help me use it correctly! I am using it for a year now but I feel that I lose some big benefits!

@loopline may have some youtube videos out there but the way I learned it, and taught those that work with me, is by testing and messing.

I don't really have any videos on how to use GSA persay. I do have some settings and those types of videos here

But they are a bit old. Im with @BassTrackerBoats. I learn by pushing buttons and measuring what happens.

This is a big key though:

You need to understand an automation program like GSA, is just that, an automation program. Its not doing any magic secret that you can not do on your own manually.

so it will only do what you can do on your own, it just does it for you automatically. Far too often I find people that want to use an automation program/seo program (all SEO programs are is automation programs) and they want to push buttons and think that will get them what they want, but if you asked them to go do the same thing manually, they can't. Because they have no idea how to do it and thus don't know what the automation program is actually doing.

So I find it useful to work from the premise of "This is what I can already do manually and its good and works, so how can I find a program to automate it and how do I do it" Not the other way around.

So break down what GSA is doing and go do it manually a few times, and once you have a working understanding of what you can do manually and how GSA is then doing that for you, you can use it much better.

I am only able to master a program because I understand at a basic fundamental level every element that is happening, once you do that, its like tieing your shoe, you don't have to think all too much you just decide what you want and do it.


Lastly I would also say, you need to be self aware. Im 100% aware that Im able to succeed at automation programs because of my personality and mind set. It goes far beyond automation progams, even since I was a kid I always want to know how stuff works. Ive had people ask me if I was an engineer just because of how I Think. I suppose I could have been, but its not my thing.

If you don't understand how stuff works, but you can paint a picture like no one else, an automation program isn't the right thing for you. Hire someone to do it. I have painted exactly 1 picture in my life and it is no picasso and I followed step by step directions from an instructor. I couldn't even being to take a picture in my head and even think about what to do first to get it down on a canvas. I can follow "step 1, step 2 etc.." but I could never do free form.

But I can free form an SEO automation program like Michelangelo free formed the Sistine Chapel ceiling

you need to know who you are and play to your strengths.

I think its been a year since I last used GSA SER. You will have to use strict settings and make sure not to use it directly.
