Is google killing pbns network after last update?

The usual google scaremongering, i like the way they do it. Few interviews by their staff, then some high Profile SEO (sic) supports it with some weird statistics on some high profile SEO blog and then it is all out war. While those SEOs who are silent keep building out links and rank their sites, it keeps the newbies away.

If you build your pbns like authority sites, chances are google can't tell the difference.

These days i am ranking my pbns, too. Gotta be ahead of the game.

Thank you for your amazing expertise and prediction based on tarot card readings. 99% my ass. :)

I bothered, for some reason, and checked your website. Most of the things you claim are supported by Google articles and what some guy from there said or didn't say. So, yeh, if you are basing your claim on some Google proofs and/or by considering Google omnipotent, then please, work with your guest posts and fresh domains instead of expired domains, nobody cares. Just don't spread misleading crap here, because PBNs are still working perfectly fine and will continue to do so for quite some time.

And I am being nice. Just sayin'.

For some "weird" reason, ~20,000 people check my blog every month, not just you :)

I bet when I used PBNs actively 5-6 years ago you were still in school. It is time to move on kid it is not 2011 anymore.

Just to let you know because I see you are a service provider :) A few years ago I offered the first whitehat SEO service here and made $42,000 in sales for 6 months. Providing real value not crappy sh**t -

PBNs are crap guys. Been there, done that. Do your research. I am not going to talk you out of this.

@danailo in a world of fake, how I am supposed to believe that video? :) I can literally copy yours and make it mine in 2 minutes, including branding on my own. PBN's done right and even SPAM still do the job. Google only does the "talking". Their search engine is broken as fuck.

So instead of actually providing something to support your claim regarding PBNs, you talk about how amazing your blog is and how much money you make, plus that dig at my age (which you do not even know) was supposed to convince anyone that you know your stuff or? You are originally from Warrior Forum, right?

The first thing I saw on your blog was:

2. Starting a website on an expired domain is better: Many dropped, or expiring domains are heavily spammed and may be permanently banned from Google index. Always check the historical backlink data and the snapshots in Web Archive. Further, more these domains were abused for SEO for too long and for a piece of mind start fresh with a new domain.

And after that I had hard time reading it objectively. This is basically saying something like - Don't use cars. Sure, they will get you from point A to B much faster, but there are so many accidents and you can get yourself killed, so instead of learning how to drive properly, you should go on foot.

Oh yes and "white hat SEO service" is what exactly? I am yet to see a "white hat" SEO service.

I will let you provide some value chap.

Meet you in a few years when you man up :)

If your age is the only argument for everything in terms of standing up to your claims, then I feel sorry for your "white hat" clients and blog readers. And not sure if we will talk in a few years. You are so old and all you know, coronary diseases aren't fun.

We probably won't. Your intellect is too limited :D

PBNS work if you leave no footprints. You can't index shit quality content on sites that have similarities (all built by noobs who only care for $$$ not content). The main concern is how much effort are you willing to place on quality over some dumb rank, spank, bank routine. Google can't tell if a site owned by George Da Man is part of Bob's PBN or its own stand alone site. That is why their algo is the way it is. It is designed to make it confusing to rank and bank on their search engine. You won't rank a site the same way x2, Google makes sure of that.

I will tell you one footprint I see even pros leave behind with some of their pbns, traffic...

rip, lets say theres no google adsense and no analytics on a website. no webmaster tools console. browser switched from chrome to firefox.

Would be there such footprint? Because Google shouldnt be physically able to see visitors who type address in addressbar.

Otherwise time to get vpn lol

about pbns, usually blackhats register expired domains, not normal people, but blackhats, white hats go for clean domain with no backlinnking done. knowing this, google could just shut all websites that change from expired to registered, not sure why they dont. 99% of websites they'd shut down this way would be some blackhat stuff

Let's do some simple math

Undetectable or most undetectable PBN website cost around:

A good domain with 20-30 DA, quality content, and hosting

Domain = $100
Private Whois = $5
Reliable Hosting = Minimum $70 a year
Content - 3-5 articles ~ $100

$275

Alternatively, for this amount of money, you can order 4-5 articles for $50 and score a guest post on DA 40-50 websites. Not to mention you just need to send a couple of emails and order the articles.

But hey if you like to scout for domains, deal with hosting, installing WP, ordering articles, building links to the PBN it is your time right?

Let's check the lower end

Domain ~ $20 If you are lucky enough to get an expired spam free domain just for the renewal fee plus the other small fees like GoDaddy actions etc.
Private Whois = $5
Reliable Hosting = Minimum $70 a year
Content - 5 low quality articles ~ $25

$120 And the result is low DA domain with crappy content. Instead, you can get 3-5 guest posts on blogs with DA 25-35

And guest posting is just 1 way to spend your time and money on something more useful than PBNs. There are many other opportunities ;)

P.S Skilled competition always will find a way to hurt you no matter how well you create the PBN and try to hide your backlinks from most backlinks checkers like Ahrefs etc.

I never said guest posts are bad. They are great, but your maths there is completely off. :)

DA is a toy for kids. That metric has no connection with reality. The higher the amount of backlinks (not referring domains), the higher DA. Domain with 5RD can easily have DA over 20 and yet, it's utter crap. But you are a guru here, you know that for sure. :)

Content - 3-5 articles ~ $100

For $1/100 you can get perfect content for PBNs. Even for $1/article of good enough quality for these purposes. Using premium content for PBNs is an unnecessary overkill, so I really hope that you didn't mean that one.

Reliable Hosting = Minimum $70 a year

Yeh, sure, because you will be hosting a money site with 2000 UVs a month... "Low end" hosting is $7 a year. So if you are doing calculatons for "low end", then you should use "low end" hosting.

Private Whois = $5

Private Whois is either free or cots around $9. Not to mention, it's advised to use fake registration details. Looks more real.

Domain ~ $20 If you are lucky enough to get an expired spam free domain just for the renewal fee plus the other small fees like GoDaddy actions etc.

You honestly have no idea what you are talking about. Most of the people here can easily determine whether the domain is spammed or not and whether it has some decent firepower. It's not a rocket science. And believe it or not, there are more ways than getting the domains besides Godaddy auctions. But you guys on Warrior Forum have to yet to figure that out.

So here is a math of someone who's primary job is not to bullshit people:

Domain with RD100+ and TF24, DA varies, but let's say 25 no problem - $100 (you got the maths right there), but if you can do it yourself and do not have to rely on domain brokers like me, you can in some cases pull it off for $30 - $50, including all the fees.
Private Whois = 0, because fake details.
Reliable hosting - Let's use Easy Blog Network as example and that's more or less high end and that would be $40. Low end hosting would be easily $7 - $10.
Content - 20 articles, each 500 words, from Blackbeans that would come to cca $80. With lower quality, like Bossofthebosses here, that would come down to $20. Hand written and unique. Good enough for PBN purposes.

So yeh, TF20+ RD100+ domain with 20 articles and pretty good hosting comes down to - $220 high and give or take $60 low.

But hey if you like to scout for domains, deal with hosting, installing WP, ordering articles, building links to the PBN it is your time right?

Yes, because doing outreach doesn't cost time and energy when dealing with people, or outsourcing it, which will eventually be significantly more expensive.

Your method is nice, keep doing it, there's nothing wrong with it and it works, been doing it myself alongside PBNs. Just be so kind and don't spread shit about "99% PBNs being hit" and "everything dead in month or two", because I personally know about exactly ZERO networks that got hit since the conception of this thread. And that's from talking with around 100+ clients since that time.

So unless you have actual proof of something like that happening or unless you will know a basic thing about PBNs, which you apparently don't ,regardless of what you claim, then please, be so kind and get lost.

Nargil the PBN "guru". You are a service provider I get it. You want to save the business and you are free to have your own beliefs etc.

I move away from this tactic years ago. I won't go into detail and it doesn't matter to me if you use Majestic TF Ahrefs metrics etc.

You tried to present your point but I can still roast you in a minute. I don't care how great you are in finding domains with XX trust flow. For $220 or whatever number you may get 300-400% more "firepower" and much less work.

And guess what, the sh**ty content your PBN website will have is the biggest footprint ever. You have a lot to learn about undetectable PBNs. Or to sum it up what is going on when a competitor check your link profile? Google spam report - and you are gone.

There was a horror story from a few months back. Just on an email sent in gmail and entire PBN was wiped. So what about the risk man? What is your metric here buddy?

Anyway, I wrote a lot about PBNs before and it is just a short term tactic which is much harder for the average online marketer or let's say almost impossible now.

In order to create a PBN which will last for months and years, you should build blogs which do not pretend to be real but are genuine. And it is a hell lot of work.

Yeah, there are niches ruled by PBN but the quality is so high that even manual check by Google won't roast it.

I havenoticed minor problems with new PBN indexation, however nothing special. As for now, I am trying to build new PbN using domains that are already indexed.

Still buddy, you had like 7 posts and you haven't roasted me in any way nor you have ever provided a single argument to support your claim until now. Which is an improvement. Plus you claim something else than what you claimed a couple days back about "99% of the PBNs dead" and "rest dead in 2 months", which will, obviously, not happen. I have explained this in a few more threads and if Google really wanted to, PBNs would already be wiped out. Some public PBNs use such a blatant footprints, that even a half-retard could code an algorithm to find them. So there is either some reasonable doubt, where people cannot apply manual penalty if there's a chance the website is real, or they simply do not give a fuck, because the expenses on algorithm improvement + man power would be too small to fight the better PBNs. This way, they just remove the shit, which is 80%+ networks alive these days, and don't bother with the rest, because it would be too expensive. That's of course a theory. Still, I haven't talked to anyone who got hit during this "recent update". Except some drama on forums from people who use shit spammed domains and tons of footprints, I haven't even seen a single proof of anything happening. Haven't heard of anyone who's network got hit (private network), so all I am reading here and in other threads is just what it is. Drama.

Well then roast me. I've been waiting for that for 3 days now. Dog that barks doesn't bite.

Content quality matters, but the fact that you overpay the content 10, won't make a crap of difference. While there's a huge and easily detectable difference between shit and good content, the difference between good and super good isn't so blatant and definitely not something that you could get penalized for. I would love to see the quality you are getting for $20 an article, compared to what you can get here for $5 an article. The difference won't be that huge. And about reporting, yeh, because Google goes through every single spam report they receive. It's much easier to filter everything based on the algorithms, than go through every spam report. But yep, there's a risk involved and I never claimed that using PBNs is safe. Everybody knows that there are risks.

There was a horror story from a few months back. Just on an email sent in gmail and entire PBN was wiped. So what about the risk man? What is your metric here buddy?

Uhm, so don't use Gmail if you are paranoid, really tough solution.

Anyway, I wrote a lot about PBNs before and it is just a short term tactic which is much harder for the average online marketer or let's say almost impossible now.

I agree that most average marketers can't build decent PBNs and I agree it's getting harder and more costly, but definitely not impossible. As I said, I haven't seen one single private PBN deindexed since this "update" here. At least not one that would use decent domains and would be footprint less. All that I have seen happened is, that Google is having hard time indexing previously abused domains that 80% of the PBN link sellers and users here use, because fuck that apparently. Been telling this for years, but well, people start listening only when shit hits the fan.

Yeah, there are niches ruled by PBN but the quality is so high that even manual check by Google won't roast it.

Exactly. And this is what every PBN user should strive for.

I havenoticed minor problems with new PBN indexation, however nothing special. As for now, I am trying to build new PbN using domains that are already indexed.

Don't use spammed domains with terrible history and your indexation will be fine. Fact that you are using only indexed domains won't help you much if they get deindexed down the road for their spammed profiles. Learn how to check them properly.

Well then roast me. I've been waiting for that for 3 days now. Dog that barks doesn't bite.

I think it is done :) I mentioned that there is a super easy solution like Guest posting which is just the most obvious one with higher ROI and almost NO risk if you don't push anchor text too much.

You said it as well. But IMO more than 80% of the PBNs are a pure shit.

[QUOTE="But yep, there's a risk involved and I never claimed that using PBNs is safe. Everybody knows that there are risks./QUOTE]

That is the main problem dogo :) I can get 4-5 powerful links for the $220 you mentioned above and will sleep well and will make more money in a long run.

But what I am thinking PBNs are the best SEO tactic on the plane! So innovative so ... 2011

Guys if you are the average Joe do yourself a favor and find another tactic.

thank you for your advise, Nargil. Even with perfect history and crystal clean RD, some domains maynot be indexed. The percentage of unindexed PBN across our company's network is rather low: ~ 3% out of more than 120 domains. However with the recent batch of domains, 7% were not indexed. Since each domain that we get costs 70-100 depending on the quality of RD and their quantity, it is really not pleasant to see that they are not getting indexed and spend additional time replacing them.
