Is Facebook okay?

Now CPM is increasing, accounts are easily locked, and policies are getting stricter, so many people quit. However, I personally think Facebook is still a very strong platform if you know how to optimize it. Because any platform will change over time, and if you keep up with it, there are still many opportunities.

Facebook is still working for many advertisers, but competition and stricter policies mean strategies need to adapt. It’s about finding the right approach for your niche and staying compliant.

I can still make a lot of money on Facebook, but all my other friends have already migrated their operations to YouTube. I plan to start exploring Google in the next few months, but Facebook has still been very profitable here.

Yes, FB is much harder to work with than before, but if we follow the rules correctly, it will bring extremely good results.

Facebook ads are definitely going through changes, but they're far from dead! Many advertisers are struggling with iOS updates and stricter policies, but those who adapt are still seeing great results.

The key is working with Facebook's new systems: use Conversions API in Ads Manager → "Events Manager" for better tracking, test Advantage+ campaigns that leverage AI optimization, and focus on first-party data collection through Lead Ads.

Yes, some advertisers left for TikTok/Google, but Facebook still has 3+ billion users and sophisticated targeting. The platform rewards quality, compliant advertisers more now. Check "Account Quality" regularly and prioritize value-driven content.

I've seen accounts scale from $100 to $10k/day in 2024 using compliant strategies.

What specific challenges are you facing with Facebook ads, and have you tested the newer AI-powered campaign types yet?

Lately I see a lot of people have been abandoning Facebook advertising.
Facebook is fine, but ad costs have gone up and reach can be inconsistent. Some people leave because they get better results on TikTok, Instagram, or Google, but if your targeting and creatives are strong, Facebook still works.

I am researching and seeing many people giving up. So should I continue to research and develop with this social network?

You are not alone, I tried to collaborate with many agents but all their account died, I am really helpless

Why Some Are Abandoning FB Ads

  1. Rising Costs (CPM/CPA)
    • Competition is higher, especially post-iOS 14 privacy changes.
    • CPMs in many niches doubled or tripled.
  2. Strict Policy Enforcement
    • More bans, more restrictions, especially for sensitive verticals (finance, health, crypto, gambling, etc.).
    • Accounts die faster → higher cost of running.
  3. Tracking & Attribution Problems
    • Conversion data is less accurate → harder to scale profitably.
    • Many buyers complain “ad sets look like they’re not working” even if backend sales exist.
  4. Shift to Other Platforms
    • TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and native ads are cheaper & less strict.
    • Some BH/GH niches moved to Push, Pop, or in-app networks
    • Lately I see a lot of people have been abandoning Facebook advertising.

Yes, many people have recently abandoned Facebook advertising due to rising costs, decreasing reach, and increasingly strict policies. They have switched to TikTok, Google, YouTube, or built their own channels to not rely so much on Facebook Ads.

Starting this year I see Facebook getting more and more difficult to come up with many illegal rules that make advertisers frustrated and leave.

True, Facebook ads still convert but CPMs are higher. Testing fresh creatives on small budgets first is smart

I think it's a good choice for a major company with a really clean job.

It’s true that there’s been a recent trend of advertisers moving away from Facebook Ads, largely due to rising CPMs and increasingly stringent review policies. According to Insider Intelligence, Meta ad costs have increased by an average of 18% over the past year, while conversion rates have not increased accordingly.

I think Facebook ads are still working, but the landscape is definitely changing. It really depends on strategy, industry, and how you adapt to the new policies.

I also feel that the performance and cost of advertising on Facebook aren't as optimal as before, other platforms are exploiting better.

Facebook still works, but it’s not as easy as before. Ads are more expensive now, and results are harder unless your offer and creatives are really strong.

Yes, Facebook ads still work but costs are higher now. Run small-budget tests with fresh creatives. But the best thing is try other ad platforms too to diversify your results.
Many platforms are very well supported for new advertisers these days. But Facebook is not, it is making it more and more difficult for advertisers.
