3. For high competitive / medium competitive keyword EMd is no more helping in boosting rank.

my takeway, If you get a emd domain why miss it just register it but don't invest hell of money for buying it in secondary market. Also go for .com if not avail then go for .net, .org

EMD still good as far is i know, but like other said, brandable domain was a good choice if you want to rank on much keywords
