Yeah sorry, got your point :) I did not even like Gates until I found all the cool things his foundation was doing some years ago...
I do not dislike Elon, but I have seen him making some mistakes and I still need to see better results to consider him a genious.
Also, I think Elon would not be so loved without "Nicola Tesla" and "Tony Stark" hype :) He knows how to make people love him and his products, I cannot argue that.

One of the few who is actually doing something useful with his billions. What about all those billionaires who could make the world a much better place? I rarely see anyone taking action. Especially not those, who are buying sports teams like in England, NBA teams, etc. instead of doing something good. Like imagine this: There are guys spending billions/millions for their hobby, basically buying football teams like Chelsea, Leicester, Man City, etc., spend a shit ton of money for players, etc. while they could literally change the infrastructure, education, etc. of whole cities and countries with their billions.

And what about Elon Musk? Let me tell you something you should already know: This whole system is based on "high-risk high reward" and this guy risked A LOT and now he is the richest.
 
he is master mind one. he might know what he is doing and how? but the thing is we can't understand. Or maybe just for fun :D
 
If we had more entrepreneurs like Elon Musk, we'd have no worries over the future. Legit as can be. Sure, everyone fails and does silly things when you do A LOT OF THINGS. But I believe he has 1) genuinely good intentions, 2) a rare spark.


Combine those two in a leader, and.. I think we're set.

If I promised you page 1 and only got you to page 5 would you say I'm a visionary and in 15 years I'll get you there or would you demand a refund and open an SL?

I am kind of neutral in this case. He is indeed overvalued, but I don't think that he is a scammer, for now. The rest future will tell us.

How bad/greedy other billionaires are doesn't portraits that how honest/great Elon is.
 
I think he actually said that he just want to inspire future generations to continue what he started.

Colonizing other planet(s) is mind boggling and scary, maybe try to make desert liveable or somewhat close to that and then go for the Mars? I mean the whole idea sounds kind of meeeeeh. Space trips are just fine, but why would anyone actually want to go to live on the mars? :D Well, I you could just get a piece of a land there and build like a summer house to escape the daily routine, thats something I would use myself, but we all know it will not be an option for a long time.. (too far, too costy, nothing to do after 4 days)
Yes, he is reducing the "cost" for space travel, but the cost is still CRAZY to handle for the most people.

Anyhow, I like Elon, I like what he's doing. He is a cool guy.

Saying Musk is a scam, because he doesn't do anything about human health, but Gates doing it, is bullshit.
Musk is an engineer, making the world way better in the engineering field.
Bill Gates read books and made the world way better in the health field, thats great too
But saying Musk is a scam, because he isn't in the health field, is like saying - engineers or architects, are scam because they don't do fucking surgery.

Elon is right, but he isn't perfect.

It's not about Elon. If it wasn't him, it'd be someone else. There's a bigger picture. It's about humanity. The problem lies within humanity and asking humanity to try and fix itself is the biggest problem we face.

Elon was right about AI being the biggest existential threat humanity faces but he's also wrong because it's not A.I. that is the biggest existential threat, it is humanity itself is the biggest threat to itself. People may not understand this but it has been this way since the very beginning but very few understood it.

The seed was within us from the beginning. It has nothing to do with technology. Technology is simply a means or conduit to carry out the very seed that is within us which is the biggest existential threat. It was always there and nobody knows how to cure or fix and stop this seed within us.

Here's the perfect example as I would like to take Elon one step further.
A.I. is the biggest existential threat so humanity cannot hold a candle against prime A.I. when it reaches prime/maturity. So that's why Elon wants to build neural link as soon as possible. That is the only way humanity has a chance to compete and keep control of A.I. But neural link itself is also an existential threat and so both AI and neural link are human inventions and therefore you see....it is WE that have caused all this and WE who are creating all the threats to ourselves LOL. Nobody is doing it to us. The seed of humanity is the greatest problem that nobody has or ever will be able to solve until it simply plays out its natural course and meets its natural fate.

Well there is an answer and there is a solution but I'm not allowed to talk about that stuff here as it's not "allowed".
But in a nutshell, Elon is just a tiny piece of the picture. Nothing wrong with him. He's right and doing what he's supposed to be doing but it's all flawed because humanity is flawed and we are only leading ourselves closer to precipice. Elon is so close but he just can't make that final leap of understanding and I've said it for years and he was very close when he said what I said way before him, that is that the rate of technology is such that humanity can't keep up with it and becomes more dangerous. The game is the same, only the stakes are higher each time. We played with sticks and stones back then, today, we play the same game but now we play with A.I., mass consciousness, and biological/nuclear/chemical toys that can wipe out large parts of our existence on a dime.
