Is dropshipping really dead?

Dropshipping is not a one off method that will be dead. It's just a way of bypassing overhead expenses of maintaining SKUs.
If you're talking about dropshipping poor quality products from china, then yes it's more or less dead. You can still find a reliable supplier locally who is ready to dropship for you.

Mfer locally was selling the same wheels at 700% margin. And people bought it like mad. I start on "Allegro.pl" soon. Wondering about the hiccups... I might just do PPC + sites. https://www.made-in-china.com/multi-search/wheels/F1/2.html?pv_id=1i6jgac5ncf0&faw_id=null

But maybe I could do articles written by complex AI flows + voiceover + vid + PPC. $0.3 per video + article. Undercutting the whole market.
If they start doing articles at $0.01, I'll start doing at $0.001 a piece.

That'd be called "infrastructure dropservico-infrastructurizing". What I'd be dropshipping? After Effects scripts connected to Claude AI + flows. And then the AWS infrastructure.

One player on the forum was out. I remember his product was based on GPT-3 and he was too wasted to upgrade it. People hated on him in the comments on YouTube. He entered too early. Maybe he's burned out now.
A-ha-ha. He started up-selling consulting. The last time I checked his product it was broken. Well.

So many years passed and he still didn't fix those buttons.

What a nice product. Pity it's $4k shipping. So... Buy specific parts, start using some joints to decouple parts of the house and then... sell mobile houses.

A fool sells the same item here for 900% margin. What a hell. Production is the king.

If not dead, the demand has reduced for sure. That is why you see less threads about it on BHW including in the journeys section.

Its not dead but You need to know some things.

I know a guy who's doing Amazon FBA. Has his discord channel.
Obviously if you dont live in "good" country like UK, USA then its harder.

But you can check him out on YT: FBAmogul

Im not related to him. But he is seems to do well and many people who are in discord.

If you focus on traffic as your priority, you can always test any product you choose.

You mean the get rich quick scheme pitched by fake gurus on YT? Yeah, it was dead a long back. People have caught on to this and no one purchases from these random websites because the Chinese are now selling their products directly through multiple platforms.

Back in 2019-2021, I had some success, but now I'm really stuck. I've tried testing a lot of products, but they've all failed. I don't know how to find a potential product to sell for dropshipping.
"You dont sell the sausage, you sell the sizzle."

The online marketplace has got more crowded, so you need to up your game in sales and marketing to stand out now.

Far from dead - it keeps paying my bills every month.

I don't think so. There are tons of sights that are still doing dropshipping but it's just more competitive than it used to be so you may need to put in more effort on the mar

Dropshipping is not dead, but it requires more strategic marketing and niche selection due to increased competition and market saturation.

I would buy random shoes that look like sneakers from some cheap producer and put Nike tag on them. That'd increase value threefold and I would have a unique set of Nike shoes created by myself.
Why you talk about shoes so much? you sure you're not already making replicas of them?

Have a bigger vision than dropshipping. Do some tough research. Write down 1000 pages in Google Docs about what you think about the world. You will then have killer understanding.
1000 pages. I can't even write down one line of my own thoughts, maybe i could but it's hogwash anyway or maybe not. I'd like to read 1 of 1000 pages of yours if its already written.

its not dead, if it was dead, then china, pakistan would have been dead by now.

You need more effort and literally exploit the sellers. More cheaper = More bulk = more profit.

Also many clients are cheap nowadays so if you lower prices according to markets...it can work.
There are tons of articles that can be sold, even shit you will not believe, people will buy it, especially if its cheap.

3rd world countries love cheap stuff and in huge mass

You should review your products, prices, competitors,...

A few years ago, it crossed my mind how big fish like AliExpress, eBay, Amazon and now Temu directly affect thousands of small online stores.
I was doing dropshipping in 2013-2014 and it was really good at that time. I was selling one product at one page site "usb spy cam", which I advertised on one of the ads on my site, which had about 150,000 unique visitors per day. I later sold the sites and started some new ones, but I left dropshipping a long time ago.
I think that as far as dropshipping, it will be harder and harder, because BIG fish eat small fish. In general, a crisis is felt in all areas, because artificial intelligence and mass robotization bring with it a lot of new layoffs, and therefore in other areas there is increasing competition, because those people who have been laid off have to try to do something in order to be able to to pay the bills and have something to eat.
For example, if I see an advertisement or an interesting product on an unknown site, I will first search for it on the sites where I have accounts. My opinion is that it must be something interesting, unique, be (your) name/brand and convince customers that your product is much better than competitors.
In general, everything is over-saturated.
P.s I apologize for my bad English

Maybe you can follow trends and social media to find products that solve your problem.
