Is Dropshipping from Ebay to Amazon Profitable?

I have been dropshipping from Ebay to Amazon for the past 5 years now. I managed to make a descend profit I could live off. However, recently I notice that the market is becoming too saturated! The prices on ebay and amazon are almost identical. I haven’t had any luck finding a descend dropshipper that’s better than Ebay at the moment.

I started selling popular amazon products that are out of stock so I don’t have to compete with other sellers. I use a tool called SoldOutProducts.com - its like a search engine for out of stock products on amazon.



The nice thing about selling out of stock products on amazon is that you don’t have to lower your prices to compete with other sellers. So far I have made few sales and the profit margin is a little better. Let me know what you guys think of my strategy.

Do you receive a restock date?

I found when I sold Amazon products that had gone out of stock on ebay. I just had a ball ache with constant messages saying when I get this item. The result was cancelled orders and my seller status getting screwed up.

If I am missing something, I am all ears.

eltan - This is why you should only list items on amazon that are selling on ebay at large quantity. I typically look for "buy now" items that have 10 or more in quantity.

Does amazon crack down on drop shipping? I read somewhere its more regulated than eBay.

profitable, but very risky as i assume cardin is involved....

Sorry guys, maybe I am a bit out of the line, but hope you can help. Does that mean buying products from eBay and selling them on Amazon? or just taking eBay offers and list them on Amazon?
