Is Digg the next Reddit ?

nope. digg will be another social bookmarking site but with comments and UGC.
today after 10+ years even facebook couldn't be next reddit.

I think it's great to see Ohanian and Rose teaming up again, and their experience could definitely bring some value to Digg. However, as many of you have pointed out, replicating Reddit's success won't be easy, especially considering the community-driven culture and massive user base that Reddit has built over the years. What I'm curious about is how Digg plans to differentiate itself from Reddit and other social platforms, and what features or incentives they'll offer to attract and retain users. Do you guys think Digg's focus on video content could be a key differentiator, or are there other factors that could contribute to its potential success?

Digg’s comeback is interesting, especially with ex-Reddit leadership behind it. Early land-grabs for strong community names can be valuable if the platform gains traction, just like early subreddits did years ago. That said, it’s still very early, and success will depend on user growth and engagement, not just branding. Worth experimenting and building now, but too soon to say it will truly rival Reddit.

This bring up some good old memories haha
