Hey everyone,

I have tested CTR manipulation before and did see some noticeable ranking boosts, especially on low competition keywords. But with the latest updates, things feel a bit unpredictable.

Are people still successfully using bots or paid traffic to influence CTR, or is Google catching on faster now?

I am curious what methods are still working in 2026 and whether the gains are sustainable or just short term spikes. Is it still worth testing, or too risky now?

CTR manipulation is much riskier now as algorithms are better at detecting unnatural behavior any gains are usually short term and unstable instead focus on improving real CTR through better titles meta descriptions and content relevance which brings safer and more sustainable ranking improvements

CTR manipulation can still produce short-term ranking boosts, especially on low-competition keywords, but it's far less consistent now. Google has become much better at detecting unnatural click patterns from bots or paid traffic, which makes these tactics risky and often temporary. While some tests still show small gains, they usually fade quickly or get neutralized. In 2026, it's generally not a reliable long-term strategy compared to building genuine user engagement.
