Is crypto more popular for payments now ?

Is crypto more popular for payments compared to PayPal now for online payments ?
It really depends on what you are selling and more important in your niche. For instance. In my IM agency I sell infoproducts to parenting niche. My avatar are moms and not really tech-moms. So 98% of the payments are made via Credit Card, PayPal and Local Payments. Extremely rare when they ask for crypto payment.

But for instance, selling here in BHW it's super normal to pay using crypto. Because here you'll encounter more tech-guys.

So, in summary it heavily depends on your niche and avatar.

Nah, PayPal's still king for payments for now, but seriously, it's been around way longer than crypto. Even they're feeling the heat from digital assets, which is why you see them adding crypto wallets and even their own stablecoin, PYUSD. Crypto retail payments are already at an estimated $300 billion and are expected to balloon to $4 trillion by 2032. So, give it time.

Just a quick reminder: PayPal was actually on the verge of bankruptcy back in the day because their e-wallet was too complicated to understand and use.

Crypto payments can be super simple if you use the right app. You could offer your moms Cryptomus. You can even become a client yourself, offer your customers cashback discounts, and increase your profit through staking

Since 2021, I have only been accepting payments in cryptocurrency, and no one has ever said they don't have a cryptocurrency wallet. I think it's better than all the others.

we faced this on a small digital tools store. when we added usdt plus btc beside paypal, crypto settled at 22 to 28 percent of orders; for physical it stayed under 5. small insight: a line that shows "net you pay" and instant refund path made more people pick crypto

Redirect them to buy crypto means ? You ask them to register on some exchange ?
there is lots of payment methods called onramp. So the user is redirected to buy crypto on authorised (or not authorised) exchanges. Some payment flows are pretty smooth.

Looks like you're stuck in 2015. Sweet times: no covid, no hyperinflation.. i'm jealous.
Name at least one example of a successful store where cryptocurrency is at least as popular a payment method as fiat currency. Excluding dark themes and casinos.

You spread your dreams here as if they were reality.

You can not transfer money everywhere in the world with PayPal. However, you can transfer money anywhere in the world with cryptocurrency, and with transfer fees as low as $0.01.

To be honest, I really enjoy payment through crypto because it's less hassle and faster compared with PayPal.

I am using it on a preferance base. If my client love to pay with crypto I don't force them to pay with fiat.

I have noticed that many clients are prefering crypto over paypal or cards. May be they are flexible with that. It actually depends on lot of other context. But yes it is becoming popular day by day.

the world is not black and white, you know. and the fact that crypto didn't surpass Paypal is equal to the fact that crypto has grown up from its "dark past". flash news: it can be somewhere in between!

So you can't answer where cryptocurrency plays a big role in accepting payments? Right?

Let's be honest, cryptocurrency has only become popular on the dark web. In trading speculation as a high-risk asset (and unfortunately a significant part of this is inexperienced traders who easily become targets for big players and end up losing their investments, which negatively affects the entire industry on the future), and among crypto enthusiasts. That's it, everyone else uses cryptocurrency only in extreme cases and without much enthusiasm.

Indeed it is!

I used crypto as my goto payment method for all of my business and I would love to pay with crypto to all the business I'm getting the service from. Also it's revolutionary easy to use and less hustle. You have no idea how much people are suffering from the middle man apps/ payment services like paypal. this Saturday I got a payment and the exchange fees was around $7 for a 130 dollar payment and let's not talk about the transaction fees. but in crypto it's like nothing compared to all these.

So now choose your own destiny and people are choosing so.

It may not be normal in real world. But It is normal for Digital marketing payment.

Crypto has many service available to.many and enable many people in the third world to serve global communities
This will continue to grow
You will know this as there are more crypto startups from 2023

Crypto assets allow you to exchange funds with people around the world in a small fee and a short time. Isn't it wonderful?
