I have been writing unique and quality content for a couple of months now and had got no rankings at all and finally want to ask, what if content is unable to make my objectives possible. What should i do to drive some targeted traffic from search engines and social media.

Yes it is possible. I'm able to rank 30 out of 60 post on top 20 in serps with contents only no backlinks. I think because it depends on the competition

Yes, content is really the king of SEO. You probably either in a niche that you will never get anywhere in or you have crappy content. The goal of engaging content is to capture a returning audience. If by writing content you mean spinning it, then you will not rank. Social signals are also important. Try things out. You cannot have a domain with links and no content!

Could you explain what you mean about "quality content"? Google determines quality from how you present the content to crawlers. If your article structure sucks then your "quality content" has no value. You can rank with your "quality content" only for longtail keywords with almost 0 competition. To rank more competitive keywords you still need links.

    Cheers

Content is king that's true.. You need to write quality content then go with social signals.. If your targeted keyword have low competition then you can see your ranking.. If your keyword have medium or high competition then make some quality backlinks for this..

Content alone cant do shit , no matter how good is you content you will need some kind of platform to promote it , social networks or link building (forums , blogs , articles and press release) if you have a authority website which has good rep in the eyes of google then its something else (but for making an authority website you still need links )

I'm with 'lilmasta' on this one. Content is NOT king - it's just one of the many factors that determines where you rank.

Content is king indeed... but without strong backlink profile that king is pretty much dead...

Content IS king and if shareable, unbeatable. Just three words: engaging> shareable> content.

Do you share? how do people find your content? Maybe you need to do more targeting sharing? If your content really is good, people will pick it up and start sharing.

Links are king. Good content simply attracts links and avoids you getting banned during a manual review.

"Content is King". Exactly what Google has wanted us to buy into for a long, long time. They have promoted this saying for a few years now, and it seems that it has been quite successful.

    But, is Content REALLY King???

Not much more than it ever was, IMO if you're talking about strictly ranking on the 1st page of G. Speaking from strictly a ranking perspective, "Backlinks are King". As far as content goes, you need to have your main keyword on-page several times and in key areas (Title Tags, H1) along with "supporting secondary keywords" that have something to do with your topic/niche/main keyword, that will prove to Google that this is "valuable" information (whether it is good or whether it is crap). With that kind of content and some nice backlinks, you're on your way to the 1st page whether your content has any real value or not.

"Content IS REALLY King" if you're talking about credibility when someone visits your website, but, we've always known that. No one was ever going to buy something from a website full of spun content or ridiculous design.

A strategy I've employed successfully has been to put what I call "power content" on my sites in order to begin the ranking process. "Power Content" is simply a quickly written page that doesn't need great information on it, but does include the keyword, secondary keywords and more than 400 words, an optimized image and YT video. I give Google exactly what they want to see. Then, once the site is on page 2-3, I than adjust the content to be "valuable" since people might actually be seeing it at that point. This way, I'm not wasting time trying to write actual "high quality content" during the full ranking process.

In any event, I think the "Content is King" mantra is not too much different than it ever was. The major thing that changed is that Google has become better at selling it. Make no mistake, Googlebot has become more sophisticated, but, by and large, if you're not keyword stuffing and completely over optimizing, then: "Backlinks are King".

Yes, Content is really king. If you want to succeed you need good content so that your users will engage. Otherwise, they will just leave the site right away.
