Is completely unique content needed for web 2.0's

Hi,

I just wanted to ask if adding 100% unique content is necessary for web 2.0 properties or can we just spin some content? I have actually been writing completely unique content for each keyword targeted on 10 web properties, created rss feeds for each and then submitted those feeds along with indexing the links through an indexer but this of course takes a lot of time. Now with 7 keywords targeted I've written 70 100% unique articles which is hard going. Can the process be cut short, am I doing too much?

Also for sites which don't rank from this process is it better to just do the process again on more properties or to spin some content and backlink to the web 2.0's already built?

For what it's worth I have managed to gain some first page rankings by doing this and I don't want to weaken the strength of it but it's the whole content writing bit which is slowing down my backlinking plans.

I've actually split all my backlinking strategies into 12 phases but I'm still on phase 1 because of the time it takes..

That's not necessary. However, if you add 100% unique content, then you might get double impact sometimes depending on the situation. But, the advantage is you can add 150 to 200 words of content compared to any other sources. Hmmm, that saves a lot of time.
 
Write one unique article then spin it atleast 50% by sentence basis not just words.
 
Personally, I scrape an article that's related to the keyword, spin it to around 80-90%, and then post them manually on the 2.0s.
 
Actually i do web 2.0 for my clients and getting good results in SERP movements.What i do is write 3 Unique contents with 500 - 600 words and spin them to more than 75% unique and readable content and submit it in Top 75 Web 2.0 Sites, Each content is 75% unique for each submissions.Also feeding RSS and Pinging them gives good results in Movements.Its time consuming but what its giving results..,So no Matter how much time is.We can Do 75 web 2.0 sites in 2 days manually with RSS Feeding.So its a good time though.Hope this will be useful for you.

75 WEB 2.0'S IN 2 DAYS ??

How on earth do you submit so many in so little time? I understand that I could speed up the process if I didn't add videos and images but I find that they look bare without and I'm pretty sure the videos help to rank.

IMO, unique content is always good, and will add juice your web 2.0 properties. Well-spun articles still do the trick, but the Goog's algorithm and evaluation methods (e.g. Uniqueness, readability and grammar) are only getting more sophisticated by the day - so having some properties with unique content will always help offset duplicate/"syndicated" content pointing to your site.
 
I know I am going to get flack for this but I know for a fact that blogger and wordpress will ban you if your site gets flagged.

I tend to prefer these properties as others might come and go. I have over 1K blogger blogs and 1K wordpress blogs and a lot of them are 2 to 3+ years old and have some decent PR. They range in niches and can be a huge help getting new sites quickly off the ground. If you take short cuts, your sites may not last very long.
 
I just got some of my blog and wordpress blogs terminated. Probably because I was linking spun contect randomly to the same spun content. I was more curious though what was going to happen.

I can usually complete only 5 or 6 per day but I had the idea in mind to build web 2.0 properties that people would actually want to read and get something from so a lot of the time is spent writing and some of the time is spent looking for good videos and images. I also add in clickbank products and other affiliate links as the idea was to at least earn some revenue from all the hard work put in just to rank with keywords.. Hubpages and squidoo always take me longer to do as I try to do the best I can in terms of quality, especially hubpages to keep all the links do follow.

I earn my revenue from ranking sites for clients and the web 2.0 building in the long term turning into a revenue stream of it's own but I've been looking for a way to speed the process up.
