So I've been thinking, after launching my website I've been wanting to create more, but in different fields just to see if one hits it off even more than the previous one.
So for my next project I've been wanting to create a coupon site, and I've read that it's not a good idea because there are so many now a days crowding up the internet.

So my question is.. Is it a good idea to make one? Or is it going to be one of those cases where you invest a lot of time only to get nothing (or only break even) out of it.

Or should I rather try to focus on a more SaaS type of business?

Ive seen success promoting affiliate programs via coupons.. lots of cpa networks have many affiliate programs available with preapplied coupon in link. If you can find good keywords for those, why not?

It's a niche that is rife with blackhat spammers. I think you'll have a hard time ranking although I have no real experience with the niche myself other than taking note of these SEO trends. I would go with something else for the time being.

I make more money in easier niches :)

There was a caste study published on Medium where someone used Amazon S3 buckets to clone a coupon site and offer 0 real value yet be able to bank a lot of money. It's really cool.

The question is never about whether you should create something or not, but how you plan to get traffic. All these dumb coupon sites are the same and they just cookie stuff all day, so there is money to be made there of course.

I would call them cookie stuffing and stealing sites. Yes, they are really profitable.
