Is Blogspot still viable for SEO nowadays?

It extremely good for targeting low-competition keywords at scale to expand the site's overall search and footprints audience rate rapidly increase.

Yes blogspot is good if you want to create a blog that is focused on something it can still get indexed fast and get audience but i will recommend in combination with social media presence

blogspot can still be useful if you treat it like a real website with original content and a clear purpose in my experience a handful of well maintained properties outperform a large number of thin blogs created just for links

They can still be useful if they publish genuinely valuable, niche-relevant content and aren't just used as link farms. I would treat them as a supporting channel for building topical presence rather than relying on them

It may still work if you build the blogs properly. Just creating a few posts and adding links is usually not enough now.
afaik however they get indexed without problems but i will not recommend you to use them for authority increase anymore. If you use Blogspot try to make every one of them appear as a actual separate website not a particular bunch of links.

blogspot can still work for basic content and indexing but i would not rely on it as a main authority building strategy anymore Google has become much better at identifying low quality satellite networks if you use it focus on creating useful content and real value rather than just placing backlinks quality and relevance matter much more than the platform itself

In my opinion blogspot blogs can work, but they have to have exceptionally quality of content.

I don’t think Blogspot blogs directly give your site much authority. But I do think the signals from a URL you share can help google bots discover and index your pages faster. Of course, that’s just based on my own experience and opinion.

I think using Blogspot just to push links is pretty risky I'd focus on building useful sites that can stand on their own

Honestly, Blogspot can still help, but only when the content and links are genuinely useful and relevant—not just for pushing authority.
A blogspot site's links could function as part of a network even now, but using it solely for link farming would be rather ineffective. IMO, either put in the effort to make the site useful or go about getting links from other relevant sites.

Blogspot is not good in this time because there are much more we can do. In blogspot we cannot do many customizations. You should upgrade. It is like using shovel to dig instead of using machine to do it.

Satellite blogs are less reliable than building the main site.

Everyone here is saying it works if the content is good, but content quality isn't really the tell with satellites. The footprint is.
Ten blogspots created around the same time, all pointing at one site, is a pattern you can see regardless of what's written on them. Better content doesn't hide it.
Worth separating two things people are mixing, though. Blogspot as its own asset ranking for low competition stuff, still fine. Blogspot as a link tier pointing home, that's the bit that got old.
And if you build each one properly enough to be safe, you've built several sites badly instead of one well. Same hours either way.

Google itself has kind of abandoned blogspot. I would not use it for SEO anymore.
