Is Blogspot still viable for SEO nowadays?

With all the recent Google updates, i'm considering using Blogspot blogs as satellite sites to push authority to my main site, is this strategy still effective at all?

the blogspot platform works even though its glory days of just blogging nd making connections are gone. In my opinion, it depends largely on how relevant the blog is to the strategy of the overall website.

blogspot SEO are good for backlinks of website although it get low rank when research on niche expose,it need to host website for perfect page SEO and ranking in serp.

Using thin satellite blogs just for backlinks is risky now, as google is much better at detecting manipulative link building.

i feel like the strategy is now less effective than it was before. it would be better to use that time to create good content for my main blog or get some legitiimate links. in my experience a single good page beats a number of bad satellite blogs.

I think Blogspot still works for some people, but I do not depend on it as the main SEO strategy. Google is much better at ignoring low quality networks now.

To be honest, using Blogspot in 2026 is only viable for creating Tier 2 or Tier 3 properties to support your main sites. If you are trying to build a real brand or a money site, you need your own self-hosted setup (like WordPress or a custom CMS).

blogspot may still come in handy to an extent, but I would not suggest using it exclusively. my take is that blogspot is no longer relevant at all, today it is the content quality nd design of the website that matter.

People still use Blogspot, but i wouldn't rely on it as an authority boost alone. If the blog has genuine content and gets some traffic, it can still have some value.

pointing them straight at your money site is risky since Google knows it owns Blogger and can easily identify those links. as part of a tiered structure they still have some value though.
