Is blogging still worth it in 2026,?

Blogs will likely stick around, but if your main goal is to make money, short-form videos tend to be more effective. If you simply want to share knowledge and experience, blogging remains an excellent choice.

I believe it really depend on the niche and topic..
For Tutorial Blog... especially general tutorial blog... i think it is dying..
.

I think platforms like tiktok and instagram are changing how people find information, especially for quick tips and trends, but they are not fully replacing traditional platforms yet. People still rely on them when they want deeper and more reliable answers

I agree. Blogging still has value, especially for deeper topics. It may not be fast anymore, but it’s still worth it if you focus on quality and consistency.

Yes, blogging is still worth it in 2026 for long-term traffic and authority. Social platforms drive fast attention, but blogs win for search, ownership, and monetization.

Blogging is still worth it in 2026 because it builds long-term authority and search traffic, while social platforms work best as distribution channels rather than replacements.

Yes, blogging will still be valuable in 2026—TikTok/Instagram helps drive traffic, but blogs are still a solid foundation for long-term authority, search traffic, and steady income.

Blogs that answer purely informational keywords like
Can dogs eat meat? Is teak wood waterproof?
These are dead. You are just 1 algorithm update away from disaster.
It may still work for a while on Bing and Duckduckgo but in the long term most people will just use chatbots for such queries.

I have 5 of these websites and they are dead in google. Only getting traffic from Bing and others

Unless your blog is not pure informational or you can get traffic outside Google then go for it!

Yes blogging is still worth it in 2026, but only if it’s niche-focused and value-driven. Generic blogs are dying; expert content combined with video, email, or social traffic still works.

I still think blogging is worth it. Social platforms like Titkok and Instagram are great for quick traffic but you don’t really own that audience. For me, a blog feels more stable long term.

No TikTok and Instagram aren’t replacing blogs, but they are overtaking in attention and traffic patterns. Blogs still matter for search traffic, authority, long-form content, and monetization (ads, affiliates, SEO). Social platforms bring visibility and short-term engagement, but blogs are where deep content and evergreen value live. The best strategy in 2026 is blogs + social amplification, not one instead of the other.

On social platforms, you will always earn less because you own nothing and have no control. Plus their nature of constant production of content as fast as possible becasue that's what algorithms are rewarding. With more and more creators, your earnings will continue to decrease. You are fighting for peanuts untill you burn out. As always, the owner/owners of the platform are the ones who truly earn.

I completely agree that blogs still hold value, especially when paired with social media for promotion. It's interesting to see how different niches are adapting to the changing landscape, with some relying on visual content and others finding success with video content. I'd love to hear more about how you're finding the switch to video content - are you seeing a significant increase in engagement and conversions? Additionally, for those who are looking to create more niche-focused content, what are some strategies you're using to attract and retain a dedicated audience?

No.
TikTok & Instagram help with discovery, but blogs still win for SEO, authority, and long-term traffic. Social brings attention; blogs convert and last.

Blogging is still worth it in 2026, just not the old way. Social platforms bring traffic fast, but blogs still win for long-term SEO, authority, and monetization.

Smart play is using both together, not choosing one.

You don't have to switch from written content to video, you can combine both. Embedding video into your blog posts definetly increases engagement rate and time on your blog, Plus all the additinal traffic you get from each platform. They both complement each other.

Blogging remains highly relevant and valuable in 2026, evolving into a tool for authority, deep-dive education, and brand ownership rather than just a daily diary. While platforms like TikTok and Instagram offer fast consumption, they are not replacing blogs; instead, blogs complement them by providing lasting, searchable content that drives income through SEO, ads, and affiliate marketing.
