Definitely, the effectiveness of blogging has not changed, but it has evolved and gained a new dimension. You must have sufficient knowledge in your particular niche area; only then will you be able to face the new challenges.

If you have knowledge and skills in blogging, that’s a plus. However, other social media platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook now allow you to monetize very effectively and are gradually replacing traditional blogging. Short videos are the current trend.

Yes, lot of users are relying on video content now. But still some people like to read text only.
Blogging will perish soon because it's just realistically hard to make money out of it. AI will just take the content from website and show it to the users straight. Less visitor is going to go to the site and hence can't make ad revenue.
However, bigger companies with sufficient budget will still do. SEO is still the base on which LLMs choose their sources from. So it favors more to big companies but lesser to little unknown bloggers that just do it for fun.

Social media is taking people away from the search engines but most people are also spending a lot of time on their mobile phones. The issue is not really blogging vs social media but text vs video content. Most people are becoming lazy and preferring image or video content. So, blogging may stay less effective until AI evolves to make text more user-friendly.

Yes, now veryone wants to spend time watching videos. But still in case, someone is searching some information, blogs might yet be more useful.

It still works, as Google is an index operator and benefits from content being indexed, which means there's always a need for web content that is of quality for users.
Even with Gemini, I don't see wordpress blogs or websites in general generate 0 value.

Yes social app had limit blogging environment, but there are niches which require more write-ups/content to certain blogging post.

Blogging is still worth it, just different now. Social platforms drive fast traffic, but blogs still win for long-term, searchable, intent traffic. They're not replacing it; they work better together.

In some cases, certain niches may be replaced by social media platforms. However, some niches are still not replaceable, such as visual content niches: images, tags, templates, stickers, and similar assets.

I’m moving to video content. My product descriptions are still written but there’s a video at the top. It’s much more engaging. I don’t think anyone reads the words anymore. Try that for your blog

Yes, blogs still work well and can generate significant economic value. Although they no longer attract as much traffic as they once did, they still have their own value.
