Is Blogging dead?

You can get a lot of traffic from videocontent: tiktok, reels, shorts > blog. The more AI content there is, the more important author blogs will become for users. It is important to create truly high-quality content, rather than blogging for the sake of blogging. If you duplicate content at the AI level, then blogging probably isn't working for you.

But when it comes to SEO, I think that in the classic sense, the amount of traffic received by author sites will only decrease (I haven't looked at the topic).

Yes, but new bloggers need to focus on niche topics, unique insights, and building an audience outside search (social, email) to stay competitive.

Just look at the number of queries in this section on BHW. If blogging was dead why would members here post so much doubts related to blogging.
 
Blogging isn’t dead yet—it’s just evolved. If you’re publishing generic content hoping to rank, then yes, it’s game over. But if you’re sharing real insights, building a brand, and targeting a niche audience, there’s still a lot of room for growth. AI has changed the landscape, but it hasn’t destroyed it.

Saw the article, but I think it misdirects the issue into one of Google vs AI search. The problem is that AI snippets and assistants, PAA etc intercepts the search function by answering a surfer's question immediately. We are increasingly living in a post search internet age.

Not dead, you just need to find the hot topics that are relevant and current to engage with the audience.

Some niches may be saturated, but others still offer opportunities if you share helpful content.

Well AI changed the game, so success now needs niche focus, unique value, and multi-channel traffic (not just Google)

Imo New bloggers still have a chance if they adapt
 
Blogging definitely isn’t dead, but it’s evolving. AI and direct answers from search engines have changed the game, no doubt. But new bloggers still have a chance if they focus on building authority, covering niche topics deeply, and providing real value. Those who treat blogging like a long-term project rather than a quick win can still succeed.

Nope. even with Ai, people still browse blogs and consume their content. With Ai, these blogs will get better, not worse. Even the Ai niche itself is an increasing blog niche.
 
Not yet, bro—I’m still earning a decent amount from blogging. However, you should definitely change your blogging approach to keep your earnings stable and substantial.
 
Blogging hasn’t died yet — it’s just stopped forgiving lazy content. If you’re not adding real value, AI and search snippets will eat away at your traffic. Special attention, a strong voice, and building outside of Google are now important.
 
It works perfectly on my end! I currently manage over 4 websites, and all of them are still generating consistent revenue.
 
Off course, still have a chance. I think maximum people love search on the search engine to get the real information. So, blogging will live.
