Is Blogging dead?

What do you think about blogging these days? Now that AI is getting better and search engines use it to give direct answers instead of showing the original websites, do you think new bloggers still have a chance?

No, Blogging is not dead you need to work with new techniques.
 
Blogging still works but it has slow down due to the damn ai snippet and an ai assistant button on serp results.

Social media don't work for blogging largely, now a days. They dont want you to steal the traffic. They want to keep the traffic to their social media. Except for may be pinterest.

Maybe, still works for me though.
 
For $20 a day it's okay. Don't expect more unless you have a unique idea in a niche subject where you can carter to your audience long term.
 
Dead? Nope, but it’s definitely not the same as it was 10 years ago. I think it could be a problem, but people still crave real voices, deep dives and actual personality, something AI still can’t fake well.
 
A lot of folks I know got crushed after the Oct 2023 update, so I get why people think blogging is dead. But I don’t think it is — you just can’t rely on Google like before. You gotta build a brand and community now if you want to last.
 
Not dead but it has changed and it is less viable. Same can be said for any sort of content. There needs to be a very strong reason for someone to waste time reading your blog. A blog it's more about sharing thoughts and information that is unique to you. For example:

Maybe you're a groupie and have years of experience spending time with famous bands. Maybe you've slept with tons of rock stars and you're spilling the beans now. There's a reason for someone to read your blog if they're interested in this sort of stuff.

Maybe you worked on a Batman set and have tons of cool stories about the behind the scenes. There's an audience for that.

Maybe you went to jail for 20 years and now you tell us all about that.

Maybe you became rich with Internet Marketing and you have a blog sharing your knowledge with people.

This is the type of content that can still be offered in blog form and get some sort of audience. Now, if you're just a random dude regurgitating stuff that can be easily found with a quick Google search, it's very unlikely that you will be successful, unless that for some strange reason you get ranked extremly well
 
yeah, it’s tougher now for sure, but not impossible.
if you pick the right niche and focus on real value, stuff AI can’t easily fake, there’s still room to grow.
just gotta be smarter about content and more patient with results.
 
Blogging isn’t dead, but it’s definitely changed.

With AI giving quick answers, it’s harder to rank with basic content. But if you focus on sharing real experiences, useful tips, and build trust in a specific niche, you still have a solid chance.

It’s not as easy as before but it’s still worth doing if you’re in it for the long run.
 
Blogging is something you do with a cigar in your left or right hand and basically you don't expect it to generate revenue.
Only if it's fun, it pays off. It's not a job where you're gonna be paid just for spending your time and forcing yourself to do it.
 
Blogging isn’t dead it’s just changed. AI gives quick answers, but people still want real, human insight. New bloggers can win by being original, niche-focused, and building a loyal audience outside of just Google. Quality and authenticity matter more than ever
 
While AI changes how content is surfaced, new bloggers who focus on niche expertise, authenticity, and community still have strong opportunities to grow.
