Is blackhat link building successful?

Hey everyone,

Has anyone had any long term success from building high page rank backlinks?
I am relatively new to Blackhat world (and blackhat seo in general), and am interested in exploring blackhat techniques to do this.

Also am interested in knowing about virus free, free software that can easily do this automatically (something like xRumer, but without the price tag).

Not sure if this is the answer you're looking for...but I have had success building links from web 2.0 sites and other trusted "authority" type sites. Think YouTube, Squidoo, Hubpages, EzineArticles, etc.

I've never done any "blackhat" link building as I was always worried about losing my results. The only thing even remotely close to blackhat that I've done is using Traffic Geyser to submit my videos...and that's hardly blackhat...maybe gray if that.

One thing I can tell you is to focus on quality links and build links to internal pages...don't just build a bunch of links to your homepage...Google can tell that is not natural. (learned that one the hard way).

Here's a good video and free download (I have nothing to do with the product), which shows which web2.0 are most favorable in G's eyes. Assuming the info is accurate, and the video tells a good story, this would help you and/or an outsourcer, post quality links.
