Is BitCoin dying? What do you think the future holds?

Thread moved to Crypto.

It went up in price towards the end of the year last year... I can see it going back up around the same time this year

@mickyfu would probably agree with me when I say “avoid.”

Invest your money in something else...

What makes you believe it'll increase in value as we near the end of the year?

Nothing. People just want to believe it will. Usually, they have no economic education or stock market knowledge whatsoever.
I think you should look at the bigger picture here. Like Trump's politics - trade wars, potential future financial crisis... If any of these will happen, crypto will be first to fall badly.

It's a matter of speculated value. The diversity in projects as well as the increasing adoption lends to the idea that it will stabilize at some point in the future. Bitcoin won't die, but other projects will assuredly continue to make steady hands and keen eyes money.

The truth is it could be $1 tomorrow, or it could be $20k again. Who knows!! Its always been the same two options really - ride the constant daily fluctuations in price if you have enough capital and big enough balls or just take a punt and hold some for the long term just in case. Either way its a big gamble.

A bit of a hiccup.. Support still @ 6.7k, there were some pretty large movements yesterday that justified the sudden dump. Hold on thight...

That happened because of media attention when it crossed levels like $5000, $10000 and then $15000. A lot of new investors joined, suffered loss and they will not invest now. So, that is not going to happen this year.

Isn't it crazy how volatile of a market Crypto is?

No "expert" can't know for sure. But i believe that crypto currencies have a future. Many projects will die i guess, but BTC should stay. New things will come and i believe quantum computing will change crypto much more, and it will be great. Now the price... i don't really work with crypto just because of to get rich. They have some other values for me and for many people, and i will continue to use them even if the fall really hard. I used btc when dropped for 90%, and im using it now. Last year, at this time, it was around 1k-1.5k That was huge, now when it dropped to 6-7k, everyone panics "btc failed, it worth it only 6-7k". But 6-7k is great price, say what ever you want. People just need to learn how to look at those things... of course, for those who take loans will panic, but it's their fault. New money is here, it's time for change and it will happen. Maybe not btc, but some bank alternative, XRP is example, it's a shit coin, but one that will be like xrp is the future for sure.

Coins are made for pumps. Just sell them If you are weakhands :P

It have more chances to go to 20k tomorrow than to 1$ lol. That will require almost all holders to want to sell today, there is no buyers, demand is almost 0 so price is going down. Really hard to happen, so called "whales" can manipulate, because they have a lot of coins, but they don't have that much to send it to the 1$. Even Satoshi Nakamoto, who ever it is have 1m coins, so there is one more potential barrier for whales.

The truth is it will never see 20k again. The fool rush is over.
