I will definitely be upgrading. As with any upgrade there will be small bumps in the road, but that is to be expected. Windows 8 actually wasn't that bad. They just failed to make the UI intuitive. But once you learn how to use it, its actually pretty nice. 7 was better but 10 brought a lot of great ideas. Hopefully with 10 they can perfect it.

I upgraded as soon as it was available, and so far I do not regret it, the feel is completely like W7 but it has a perfect UI and makes you feel comfortable.

A few adjustments I had it running faster than I did with W7, which is quite interesting.

Overall, windows 10 is perfect in my opinion, I tried windows 8 and it was a pain.

windows 8 is the biggest piece of shit in existance

-constant bsod's
-10 minute startup time
-stupid charms bar
-constant program conflicts resulting in more bsods
-etc etc

I can't even get the "request an invite" thing on my computer running 8 to work. I am so tempted to jump ship and buy a Mac. I will upgrade as soon as my computer decides to fall in line. The thing has a mind of its own.

I've been using the Win10 Tech Preview on a dev box I built for my wife and son to break. Been on there a few months without issue. I installed the grade from 8.1 to 10 yesterday on my laptop, then immediately reformatted using Win10 on a thumb drive because I like to start fresh when upgrading. Seems redundant to do it that way, but it was the only way to ensure Win10 would activate properly. My 8.1 key, even though it was genuine, could not be recognized when I tried to reformat first. Luckily it asked for a key before it formatted the drive otherwise I would be fucked. I love the fact that it recognized my version was genuine without having to keep a serial number. With Win10, you can reformat an endless number of times. The upgrade went smoothly and the reformat was even smoother. I love it. I didn't even have to install drivers that were custom to my ASUS ROG G750JW. Win 10 just figured it all out. The only downfall was that with Win10, I can no longer make my $0.01 worth of Bitcoin. The drivers for Antminer U1's don't work yet and BFGMiner does not recognize them. Aside from that, this was the smoothest reformat of my life, and I've done hundreds. Chrome remembered all my settings, bookmarks, and passwords. Inky remembered all my email accounts. I brought my VirtualBox linux development environment over and so far all my IM apps work fine (LongTailPro, ScrapeBox, themaPoster to name a few). Win10 comes with Microsoft Edge, their new browser. It's sexy. But I still keep Chrome Canary. I customized a few things like removing shortcut arrows cuz those annoy me. I opted out of any possible Microsoft spyware, so sadly I can't comment on Cortana. She won't work without letting Microsoft spy on you. Being that Win10 was free, this is the first time I can honestly say, Windows was worth every penny.

I reserved the free upgrade 8.1 to 10. Hope update will be ready in my PC ASAP. And will enjoy it.

1. I like the idea you can create many desktop's on single screen, so you can split and managing between working environment, entertainment environment, or managing other project environment.
2. I love using Microsoft Edge, it fast than chrome.
3. I love start button after removing the right apps box, now only left the taskbar area, now I feel like I am in windows 7 environment.
4. Flex design/UI with straight to the point design +no core shadow brightness graphic etc.

Overall about windows 10.

I give 9.5/10 star

p/s my only problem with windows 10 is windows photo viewer

Does it have any good plugins for it yet? I'm still using chrome since it has a great adblocker(Adguard) and TimeStats which measures the time I spend on each website.

Upgraded yesterday, hated windows 8 so I took the plunge.

Apart from minor issues with speed, (internet was horribly slow) which seems to have been fixed once the updates were all installed I would say it's a distinct improvement.

I might try Microsoft Edge because I'm rapidly getting pissed off with Google Chrome. Webpages regularly not loading correctly etc, especially ebay which I use a lot!!

That depends on two conditions: ?
1.if it's freely available on torrent sites without any viruses.
2.if all my softwares without any problems work on it.

Hah,

My grandmom is used to Windows XP, she has a shitty old computer and just couldn't understand that xp is out of date and you need a new computer. Yesterday she bought a brand new laptop with windows 10, just wondering how she likes it :D
