Is anyone promoting software from clickbank vendors?

I started promoting software as a clickbank affiliate in my website and I realized that some vendors are offering a free download of the software. One of them is only offering free download on the landing page with only one order link in the top menu.
Is there anyone promoting software from clickbank vendors who would tell me more about that situation.

One of the clickbank software vendors replayed to me and he said that it doesn't matter when someone downloads a trial version, I get paid when someone use my affiliate link to purchase.

That means for me that when someone downloads a trial version, I'll get paid only if the order button opens the order form in the same navigator and the cookie identifying my clickbank ID is still there.

It's been 4 days I added the clickbank ad system to my website (no sales yet). I think I'll keep the products active for some weeks. I'm pretty sure my visitors will download the trial versions.

Any helping thoughts or advices?
