Is anyone keeping a monkey as pets?

Your argument is absurd, I am human, not an animal.

I know this is hard for you to understand, there is a significant difference.

Let me ask you something, if I get tired of a cat or dog and take them out for a long drive in the country and toss them out am I being cruel for dumping them out in the world, or kind because I am setting them free?

Yes you're being cruel, because you take an animal that hasn't got the skillset to survive on it's own, because you fed it and cared to it's needs for all it's life, and suddenly you put it in a strange new environment. It won't mean that it will die, some animals adapt and survive but there's no certainty to it. And since you've done that animal "the favor" of taking care of it and not let it develop it's surviving skills, putting that animal back into the wild would be kinda cruel, and somewhat illegal I believe.

And what's the difference between a human and another non-primate mammal except for a more analytical brain and opposable thumbs? Nobody proved yet that animals don't have feelings, needs and desires.

I'm not an activist or a militant Techxan, but besides the fact that we humans destroy every natural habitat we lay out eyes upon we now want to take all the animals and keep them as pets. Kinda sad really...

But in no way I'm saying not to adopt tigers and bears and gorillas as pets, unless it breaks the law that is.

Why doesn't it have the skillset?

Wait, didn't I take it from its mother at birth and subject it to prison until it became my pet? Just like I did with my <insert wild animal variety here>?

Or are there certain animals, the "domesticated ones" that are OK to steal at birth and raise in cptivity, and the "Wild ones" that are not ok?

And how do think you sharpen survival skills?

Are you serious? You can stand anywhere in the world, and pick any direction to travel 50 to 100 miles in, and on vitally every case, end up in a pristine natural wilderness area. It would take you forever to randomly hit a polluted area, even a populated area would be hit and miss.

I am not saying that such places don't exist, they certainly do. As long as there is greed and governments that do act in the public interest there will always be. But the idea that everything mankind touches dies is as absurd as your previous statement.

You gotta stop listening to the media.

I have two geese I am raising now, named Thanksgiving and Christmas, do I have to set them free too?

Well, my wife has accepted the fact that if I ever get to dance with Alyssa Milano, I am going to. Her freebie is Sam Elliot.

But I am not sure she is as understanding wth JUST any woman.
