I have a blog with about 1,500 page views / per month at the moment. It's about a year old now but I've only really been putting work into it in the last few months.

I earn a bit of money from it through from guest posts (£350), affiliate scheme from generating quotes (£250) so far and failing with Amazon with only 2 sales worth a grand total of about £2. Which I've plowed it all back into links & content.

I was wondering whether it's still worth while getting Adsense on my site as an additional revenue stream.

A tool they use online estimates you get $7K revenue a year from 50,000 page views a month. Which when you break it down on what I currently have is pretty damn poor, I'd be looking at a little over $17 a month, although I do hope my page views grow exponentially.

My question really is, does it do more harm than good, I hate when I go to a site with ads, and are there any better higher paying alternatives?

If I was you, I would look into https://ezoic.com/

They are very good at raising your income for adsense and other advertising platforms.

Hmm thanks @SiouxMarketing it looks like one to try increase CTR after implementing something like AdSense? Struggling to understand it to be honest, just seems like an A/B testing platform no?

You wouldn't get approved for ezoic as they require 15k minimum page views per month.

Honestly if you're earning £600/mo from 1500 page views you should focus on expanding how many guest posts you're getting and the quote generation as you're doing £0.40/per visitor as it is.

AdSense and ezoic ecpm are way down so best case you'd be doing an extra £10 a month from ads.

Thanks for the insight. 15K page views a month, hold my beer!

Sorry those figures weren't over a month, probably over the last 3, when I've actually been putting effort in. I've gone from about 300 page views 3 months ago to 1,500 (estimate) this month.

But no, thanks for the opinion, and you're probably right, just wanted to create an extra revenue stream potential.

If you put one a few banner ads, than people will be fine.
just make sure you ads don't distrub customer experience.

Is there better alternatives though? Would using Amazon Associates banners for instance likely generate more revenue?

anyone who can guide me in starting my own blog please help me.

Yes, it is worth it, if you have big plan then you should focus on other things

I agree that they will raise your income but the only downside is that your website will experience a full slow down. If you have a fast website right now, expect to experience -50% slow loading.

I left Ezoic because of that.

Adsense is worth but do not really hope for it

short answer: no.
long answer: hell no...fuck adsense.

tbh its good for specific niches if u have a ton of traffic but 90% of cases its the worst way to monetize.

I mean if you're expecting to hit the 15k then it's worth it. I've put them on a site that gets 50k a month visits and it's boosted income by 10% (+£500/mo).

It does have its downsides like site speed but the cache feature is worth the money although you'd nuke some profit as it's £20/mo for the basic package.

Ezoic is way better than AdSense but you really need the volume for it to be viable.

Yeah click payment seems pretty poor, I've read that Mediavine can be a good solution, but you need 25K visits a month, so i'm a little away from that

@Project-Shadow I'm confident I can, after a few months and a bit of effort. Do you have any idea what you could roughly expect to be earning from Ezoic from 15K page views a month?

It depends on your niche. Finance / legal pays the most at $15+/ecpm. Garden outdoors does $8-13 ecpm. General and games can be as low as $1-3 ecpm.
