Is a blog in gaming niche profitable ?

You have some impressive results with only 10 articles, keep up the good work!

Don't worry about low income so far, I am sure you will figure out ways to monetize better.
Affiliate for related items (gaming chairs, equipment, games, etc) and promoted content from game developers.

If you accomplish your traffic goal, monetization should not be a problem. Test out a few other options and check out what other gaming websites are doing.

The only way to make good money out of a gaming blog is to sell off the site.
It will only sell for good price is you are making money with it. And if you are doing that, there is no need to sell.

the target audience of video games is not affluentin general so the niche is not as interessting

I like how you started with you enjoy publishing in this niche. Keep it up, you are doing great with views. As people maybe suggest dilute your display networks and test different placements.

it is definitely one of the lowest paying niches. gamers are not a good target audience. think about a product you want to sell, then think how well an ad would convert if you showed it to a gamer. lots of gamers are young kids with no money. the added benefit to this niche is that there is like 1000 times as many zero-competition keywords as any other niche

You have approached this project the opposite to most on this site, most follow the money. If you enjoy writing about games go for it as you enjoy it you will be less likely to give up completely but don't expect a huge pay day out of it just some extra cash to play with or invest in another project.

You can always make some good bucks from almost every niche. You just need to think outside the box. I remember I made some money in the past by using simple blogger website and linking to adult game CPA offer . It was converting better than everything I have tried.

Mate you will earn pennies, unless your game is about Golf or Fishing...
I guess my gaming site earns pennies then :p

@OP
It's profitable if you do your KW research real well. That's all you need to know ;)

My gaming site gets like 20-30 cents per 1,000 visitors. Yuck!

Hello everyone,

I started a blog in the gaming niche and I am enjoying it, I don't have many articles published (roughly 10) and I get around 200-300 page views/day.
I applied to Adsense and here are my stats from the last 7 days:
View attachment 187095
(Mostly tier 1 traffic. USA: 50% then it's Canada, United Kingdom, Germany...)

Like I said before I enjoy working on this blog but my goal is also to get some money out of it.

Is it my niche or is it just Adsense who gives a very low RPM?
I think switching to Ezoic and try with them. I know I won't get much but it motivates me to write when I see good money stats :)
With my keyword research I aim to get 200 000 page views/month and hopefully a RPM of 15$ I should in theory get close to 3000€/month, which is my goal to be independent and start blogging full time. Do you think such RPM is reachable?

If you are in the gaming niche please share your experiences.

Thanks guys
Hi there, I am also in this niche, what's your website?

This too good can you share the website link here

Yes, I guess I will need to do good KW research, but KW with a high CPC has more competitors. First I will get traffic and a good authority website then I will try to write after the money keywords.

Also, the gamers who are reading my articles have AdBlock installed.
Can I put an adblocker in order to increase my revenue from AdSense?

In a 2000 word article, how many ads can I put? I am trying to place the ads manually but it is not successful: my CTR is now 0%..
I am putting ads under titles and the end of paragraphs, do you guys know if there is a magical spot where to put ads?

Thanks everyone for your answers.

PS: I am not sharing my website link.
