Hi
I have sites in French, can I get backlinks from other sites in English and they have a high authority. ?
Will this have a positive effect?

Yes and no. It depends on the quality of the website you are getting a backlink from.
 
Depends, if the site has Good D.A why not but make sure it's a do-follow link otherwise, it's of no use, it won't harm you anyways so it's not bad, but not relevant for you.
 
If it only has links from sites in other language, it will harm. But if it is in mix with other links, it will be good.
 
Good, If it is related to your niche. And links should be from high quality sites with minimum spam score.

Depends on the quality, relevancy, and authority that the site you are receiving backing from actually has.
 
You can use links from english sites but preferably with french anchor texts.
I have seen people ranking in danish and polish sites with just links from english pbns where even the content is english and only the anchor test is in their language
 
If you look from the side of seo optimization in the output. It's definitely good.
If you look from the side of targeted traffic, not so much. You will benefit from links in your area. Because such traffic carries purchases.
 
It is a better idea, if they are related to your niche. Make sure that they are from high DA.
 
If it is related to your niche and the links come from high-quality sites, then it'll work. Links should come from high-ranking sites with the lowest spam score is good health of website
 
Yes, if the site niche is similar to yours, but better get links in french authority sites. If I was at your place I won't waste my time getting links from English sites for the french site.
