Is $2 the maximum price we can get for a 500 words article?

I started my content writing journey in 2021. At first glance, I used to get $0.5 for a 500 words article.

After a couple of months, I began to look for new clients and started getting projects for $1.5 per 500 words. It's been a year, and the maximum I get paid for a 500 words article is $2.

So I am curious to know whether this is the threshold amount a content writer can make from a 500 words article. I recently wrote an article on the cryptocurrency niche, and it is trending on the 1st page of google. Here is a glimpse of a home page I created for an infotech website.

That's why you get $2 per 500 words.

I fully understand crypto, have worked with crypto since 2010, yet your paragraph made me want to close this tab.
 
There is no such limit mate.

You can make $100 from articles by selling your content in various ways. Remember selling per word is not the only way.
 
I agree with @Alexion , this paragraph made no sense. Some prople charge $10 and up for 100 words. This level of writing require proper research and English at a native level.
 
You should get paid about $20 for 500 words if it's a simple topic.

If it's something niche and complex, I wouldn't go below $40.

If you can't go higher, just write very quickly and don't focus too much on it. If that's the case, anyone complaining about quality should be removed from your lists of future clients.

It's either mass writing and churning as much as you can or focused and research-based writing.
 
The minimum threshold is $1/100words imo
People are happy to pay 5cents per word if the price matches the quality

First of all improve the quality, as this is really poor; Front-end development accounts as a sensational feature of a website. We are not just another company to offer a pile of codes on the table.

You need to keep in mind that you're competing now with Ai content sellers, but whoever offered you $0.5 for 500 words should be ashamed of themself.
 
You should focus on polishing skills first and then you will get higher rate for content written.
 
Your content looks like AI-written with several issues. You need content research, keyword research, structure, and proper formatting to create quality content. If you don't get much value out of content writing, then it's better to either use AI tools for producing bulk content or think about alternative methods to make money.

Apart from how much you make, content writing is not a career for longterm as you'll keep competing with AI content writers. There are several methods in BHW which won't need any experience. You should consider trying some of them to see if you can earn more. Check this method -

Im sorry but your writing needs to be refined.
words like "accounts for" or "in contrast" just feels awkward and doesn't match the flow of the writing
But if you are increasing your revenue and client base good for you
 
I read what you wrote. It looks as if you are trying to create your own writing style.

Just rewrite what someone wrote and you will learn to write correctly.

You added a lot of words that are not needed there.

The simpler the text and language you use, the better.

Facts: people on the internet don't focus too much and generally are lazy, so make it easy to read. Rest is a bonus. That's all.
 
I don't know what content writing means to other people, but according to me, this quality is decent at the price range you are offering. Furthermore, it will be easy to scale the work if you polish your skills.
 
Even ai can write better than this content.
If this is your website it's OK, you can make revisions like 1000 times and make it better.
But no good as a professional content writer.
You get one shot or may be 2.
OP if you can't write better content may be its time to move on to better endeavor.
Content writing is extremely saturated and cut throught competitive field. Some one earning 5 cents or 100 for an article means nothing to me. If I am not able to do that in a year 2 year, it ain't for me.
